Not long to go!

could Franz Ferdinand represent the UK?

they fit the scotland clue, they have a new album out The Human Fear, with quite a few possible entries within the required 3.00 length

Nicky91 17-01-2025 07:50 AM

i personally would get behind the UK then, Franz Ferdinand represent the british music scene quite well (my opinion) in terms of their music being what you hear quite a lot throughout the UK, also in very popular music festivals like Glastonbury

''Hooked'' of theirs would do well, similar-ish sound to Lithuania had few years ago in The Roop

Benjamin 17-01-2025 08:26 AM

Franz would be great but I doubt they’d do it. Same as Amy MacDonald.

there has been some cryptic clues going around on social media

it could be a scottish artist, also 1988, and having two massively streamed songs

so could be anyone from KT Tunstall or Calum Scott and now Franz Ferdinand got linked to those clues so far

jones89 17-01-2025 01:45 PM

I wouldn’t mind Callum, don’t think he’s scottish though.. KT Tunstall, can’t see her doing it tbh

Nicky91 17-01-2025 03:43 PM

do i have a contribution to a possibly esc entry? as a co-writer :eyes:

hopefully we are in Chefsache (Germany's selection, with Stefan Raab's grand comeback)

Bit of a dramatic day yesterday with Moldova withdrawing which was a shame as they potentially had a nice entry and Finland had an act disqualified which would have been their frontrunner and usual 'novelty' entry.

''their frontrunner''

:umm2: i hope you aren't a fan of them though, Mika Lahti is a sick in the head paedophile, even his band mates didn't know about this, and they rightfully kicked him out of the band as well

Moldova got some appeals from some of their contestants though, and their ''frontrunner'' Bacho said he found sponsors to finance participation himself ;)

No of course not, not a fan at all. I hated the entry originally anyway. I'd love Erika to be sent!

Me! I follow most of them every year.

Malta have a super strong one this year which I'm excited to see live!

she can expect to be denied the win by production manipulation. Just like last year.

i won't boo her, and i have a feeling she'll be high up in my ranking, a phenomenal voice she got

also better times for Israel to come i feel it on my water

last year was a outdated ballad been there done that many times before in esc and outside esc

Ukraine 2022 won fair and square also with a fun upbeat party anthem accompanied by solid vocals, variation of strong rapping and traditional chants

so Yuval needs to have something modern, something what makes her vocals shine beautifully without it coming across as outdated, and maybe more hebrew than two pretentious phrases at the end of a song
