Yeah probably different now, this was 90s but people in Ireland still didn't do it back then like they did over there

Would like to visit Baltimore Beacon in Ireland. The coastline looks absolutely incredible.

I should have had a guess at that!

I have never been to Wales or Ireland...which really is shameful especially as my in laws are Irish.

I love Cornwall and Dorset...but my favourite destination in this country is The Cotswolds..Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water in particular.

Also to Niamh, what's the best place to go in Northern Ireland then I don't need a passport? Have I got that right? X

…I’m going to say County Tyrone just because it was my dad’s home county and where I have family living but Counties Antrim and Down are noted for their outstanding beauty…

…the quayside is amazing, it used to be not the place to go back in the day and not the best area in the evenings but it’s filled with great restaurants/bars etc now and has a fabulous vibe…that’s the thing with Newcastle, it’s constantly investing in itself…

Really want to go. It'll be next year probably. Its on our list. By train of course.

As long as you avoid Manchester you'll be alright :fc:

Love all of North Yorkshire, too many places to mention individually.
Devon and Cornwall are beautiful, Northumberland and Cumbria too.
Never visited Northern Ireland or Wales but from what I have seen it is beautiful.

…I haven’t been to every place on earth but I am starting to think that Northumberland might just be the best place on earth to be…it’s so incredibly beautiful……

Bristol is just full of junkies and wannabe hippies and Bath is just full of tourists

Saved you a trip there :douf:

But no Bristol does have a lot going for it really. Bath is pretty but you don't need long there imo, I don't think it's that special

I'll take your word for it :douf: Bristol def seems more interesting/exciting but they're not too far from each other so 2 in 1 visit. :dazzler:

No thank you. Bristol is an amazing city. Bath is overrated though, it is beautiful however. You can do it as a day trip from Bristol as it’s like 15 minutes away.
Also close by is Cheddar

I live in Bristol so I'm kind of hating on myself there :joker: I like the buzz and the cultural aspects of it but I also think it has a bit of a confused identity and I hate how expensive it is. As a tourist you can probably have a good time though

Ahh why did I not know we lived in the same city until I moved to Wales.

Yeah, Bristol has become super expensive to be fair. Even old Bedminster (beddy) has become spenny
