Gino is similar to Russel brand
They both were sleazy on camera so it’s no surprise they were the same off camera

It was all good at the time when the ratings were through the roof but when the sparkle has faded and the complaints roll in then the stars are the devil

Pretty sure RB was accused of actual rape/sexual assault though

A woman has come forward claiming that her 2018 complaints about Gino
were ignored by ITV and no investigation was launched.

Gino, who regularly worked with Holly on This Morning and Celebrity Juice, is
said to have told the woman that he was often asked which of Holly and her
TV sidekick and close friend Fearne Cotton he would most like to sleep with.

According to The Sun Gino told the woman: 'If I could put the face of one on
the body of the other then maybe, but I'd probably choose Holly because I'd
have more fun with her.'

The unidentified woman has told the newspaper that she was 'disgusted' by the
comments, calling Gino 'crude and vile' and 'a vulgar cretin' and that she warned ITV about him in 2018.

She claims she wrote an email to ITV chief executive Carolyn McCall, in which
she stated: 'He is certainly not a man reflecting integrity or honesty or family
values.':conf:

----

so she was offended on someone else's behalf and she felt it was ok to make a personal insult to him
she seems to be under the impression that being offended = being right?

And presumably she reported every episode of Celebrity Juice to Offcom?

Ammi 10-02-2025 07:50 AM

…(…I think…)…and obviously we can’t know intent for sure …but lots of what’s been said points toward him being ‘misguided’ in some of the things he said and the comments crossing boundaries of acceptability…but I also think that it sounds as though it was unintentional as well and that he was completely unaware that he had caused any offence…(…it feels…)…it is a problematic thing of course, but rather than what’s happening now, the ‘target’ and focus should be work places where people are obviously feeling that they can’t speak up…I mean, he didn’t ‘hide’ any inappropriate sexual comments from what we’re told…he was totally open and in the presence of many on some occasions/a whole crew…and that whole crew said nothing but were told that they ‘looked uncomfortable’….there is something very wrong with a working environment/workplace where no one feels they can’t speak up express any concern…these work places really do have to look in at themselves as well and their own responsibilities….

Ammi 10-02-2025 07:57 AM

…didn’t Gino and ITV have a bit of a ‘fall out’ not too long ago because he wasn’t happy with his Road Trip contract and that Gordon and Fred were given more favourable terms or fee…I thought that I read that a little while ago…

…not significant to this but I just recalled it…

bots 10-02-2025 07:58 AM

I could be wrong, but i don't think his behaviour is in the same ball park as the masterchef guy and he seems to have walked away from that unscathed (except for having his contract terminated)

Crimson Dynamo 10-02-2025 08:04 AM

at the moment with what has been alleged and the evidence laid in front of us its one big offence archaeology witch hunt made by people being offended for others

and the others being not bothered at all

Nicky91 10-02-2025 08:08 AM

those easily triggered women of today

:joker: :joker:

and it is easy to accuse a celebrity, since that'll get blown up on a bigger scale by the news media in no time, and this has potential to end them up with plenty of $$ and 5 minutes of fame in many talk shows etc

no, if something happened (which i doubt) this needs to be handled behind closed doors, by the law enforcement authorities, and we shouldn't be even speculating about this at all, the news media should only have the right to discuss something if it is proven

Jay Blades, Gino D'Acampo i stand with you :(

If thats true...it is pathetic. I bet she didn't tell him that to his face though

Yes he was
I was talking in terms of them both being suggestive/inappropriate on tv but not being challenged but applauding it

If the ratings are higher than the complaints it’s acceptable but when the milk turns sour it’s not .

I never watched Celeb Juice fully only seen clips, as I cant stand Keith Lemon but it seemed a show that thrived on innuendo, tbh I can imagine Gino saying this but in a funny way, not a way that would cause offence or that he would be a threat, same on Gordon, Fred and Gino he was always larking around, and tbh Fred often got naked as well so I expect he will be in the firing line next....its a shame none of his showbiz 'friends' are coming out in support of him, they are all too busy protecting their brand, I am sure he feels pretty let down the the station and his colleagues who were very happy for him to play the fool on their shows ...and if we are talking about Celeb Juice.... Keith Lemon would be top of my list as being far cruder than Gino

arista 10-02-2025 09:03 AM

[Keith Lemon would be top of my list
as being far cruder than Gino]

Sure but Lemon is in plain site
that's his crude style.

To be fair we have no clips of Gino
being Crude, so far,
as he makes sure he is off-camera
when he talks dirty to younger women
who are working at ITV.

Crimson Dynamo 10-02-2025 09:17 AM

so something like this is fine and celebrated if its on ITV but if its said and its not on tv at ITV people should be sacked?

All the fake laughter, how this show won multiple awards is just beyond me

Beso 10-02-2025 09:49 AM

Surely any hot blooded male would just keep Holly's head with Holly's body...ferne shouldnt even be in the same sentence.

Oh yes I agree with that, both he and Gino were encouraged to behave how they did, they were doing all that stuff on TV for these executives to see so I'm not sure why they're acting like they had no idea now. My point was it seems RB was doing a lot more than that though and fell into the criminal category where as (unless I've picked it up wrong, Gino's are all about how he spoke?)

Yes the accusations surrounding RB do include some of a criminal nature

But that’s gone very quiet now

Livia 10-02-2025 11:33 AM

Wtf if happening to women? Have we reverted back to the Victorian age where a woman might swoon or get the vapours if someone said something shocking or near the knuckle? If a man, or another woman, says something that makes you feel uncomfortable, tell them. Make it clear you don't like it and up with it you will not put. Don't wait years to whine about it. Get a grip... be a woman and not a fainting Edwardian damsel.

I am not a Gino fan but this nonsense has gone on long enough.

GoldHeart 10-02-2025 11:45 AM

I guess as Leigh Francis was doing a character, Keith Lemon's behaviour was totally fine.

Itv is a complete joke like I said, celebrity juice was vulgar & full of crudeness...yet people were laughing and producing were encouraging it. Especially with Gino aswell.

I was hoping they were gonna talk about this. The first ten minutes are about Gino

I trust what these two say about TV and how it work, both have a lot of experience and are not tied to any network.

To paraphrase - It would not have been a few bits of banter, to be cancelled the way Gino has, it will have been years and years of complaint made by low level employees. Or should I say years and years of complaint that were ignored until some finally said enough is enough

Apparently he told someone he'd like to bend them over and **** them. Is that OK in the workplace

Well it's ok on a wide variety of ITV daytime shows

So yes it's absolutely fine

Indeed

Like literally if someone didn't have the balls to tell the little man where to go I literally give up, I don't think he held that much sway at top level

You didn't watch it did you? People did come forward and he was spoken to a number of times but still carried on.

You keep asking why didn't people come forward at the time. They did come forward but were ignored.

Are you asking why has cheeky chappy Gino been cancelled but not Loose Women? I cannot answer that question for you, but I could signpost you to the ITV complaints department.

Crimson Dynamo 11-02-2025 08:54 PM

Itv have been clipping up much worse and putting out on YouTube for likes for years
