lol  well I feel healthy. I don't know why I ent fat with amout of food I eat  I gusse I am just lucky. |
Same here, Shorty. I eat loads, but I'm just lucky.
|
Yeah, some people can eat loads and not put any weight on. Although as you get older that might chanage.
|
I wouldn't say I was fat, but I have a strangely large bum for a boy - I even have hips.
Anyway, I think this could be seen as a very offensive and confidence-lowering thread for anyone who is insecure about their weight - I realise they don't have to vote, but I imagine I'd find it pretty rude if I was insecure about my size. |

I find it offensive when people actually make fun of others because of their weight, I find that completely unneccessary.
It's so easy for thinner people to make fun of people who do have fat on them because they're happier with their bodies and in todays society, if you're overweight for your age you're seen as fat and it's normal to be 20 and be 7 stone. I am fat, but I've never been bullied for it and I'm so grateful for it because I'm insecure as it is, never mind if I got taunted for it. People have obviously said things behind my back but I'm lucky enough not to have had it said to my face. I don't blame my parents at all though, it's got nothing to do with them! I think I have a problem with my gland though so, that might be part of my problem. A lot of people don't have to work hard to be thin and a lot of them think they automatically have the right to make fun of someone who is overweight. Commenting nastily about someone's weight is one of the harshest things you can ever, ever do. No matter how much someone seems to be confident of the way they look, everytime they look in the mirror, they will be reminded of that comment someone made to them and people look in the mirror a lot more often than they realise. |

i know its creuel when people make fun at fat people but when we watched the x-factor and saw that fat family we just think cruel thoughts it cant be helped and many can admit or lie to that but its true loads of people are happy being thin or medium or fat and are happy to live that way but i am happy being thin while others are happy bein medium or fat so what:puzzled: those that are happy can stay happy and those who are not can try and improve there weight whatever:rolleyes: if someone says something bout fat people to fat persons face then it is awful but many do and for those that gett horrible things said bout them behind their backs then that is to be expected,if youve experienced bullying for being fat that must be awful and if youve escaped it then your lucky but most dont and the bigger the person the worse it is prob people make fun of overweight people for all kinds a reasons and spite is prob one of them surely im not like that though but i still sympathise and would advise for some to improve themselves for all kinds a reasons, you can naturally have your stomach stapled or another op but thats an emergency measure open to anyone, but not so great. most fat people expect to be bullied in their life it is to be expected no matter how cruel it comes over and that is awful, but just like anything which looks obscene or diff they do say stuff i guess the two choices available is to either ignore or be proud of what you are no matter what size you areand either live with it or hope to improve on it if you can but if your glands are that way then its op or nout |
I would go to surgery tomorrow but they would just turn me away.
For me though, I'd rather be bullied than someone feel sorry for me or sympathise 'with' me, I find that so bloody patronising! |

i understand bout people patronising fat people and that is terrible in how many people think and gob off, im short and that bugs me and trust me when i say that people pick on short people as well as fat people but many are cruel and when someone is fat people say stuff without thinking:sad: |
The NHS will only do it if your diagnosed with being depressed and surgery is the only thing that will cure your depression and also you have to legally be 18 in this country to have surgery or cosmetic surgery if it isn't a medical procedure.
Yeah, people can just say "fat" without thinking about it but it is quite an offensive term. (well, in my eyes, when it's said nastily) |

No, I was like major skinny in Yr 6 so I put on loads of weight, but when I stopped eating breakfast recently ive lost a stone so now I weigh like 8 and a half or something, and Im happy with the way I look for once, I am trying to diet a bit at the moment still.
I don't really think theres any problem with 'fat' people, as long as its healthy. No one can be 'obese and proud'. |
I can't stress enough how much this topic isn't directly rude to anybody...
When you can't see people over a computer screen, and you ask the forum if they're fat or not, it's the equivalent of asking them if they're tall or have blue eyes. It's entirely in that persons head if they choose to take offense from this topic, it's nothing to do with the topic itself. If you're insecure about your weight and get offended by this topic, then that's a problem you need to address yourself. If you're happy with your weight, this topic won't bother you at all. Don't blame topic creators for your unhappiness about your appearance. It's equally as silly as someone posting a topic on hair length and colour, and you not being happy with your current hair colour/length and being offended by the topic creator for asking the forum about it. Anyhow... People on a whole do tend to be quite shallow. Im sure a large majority of people have thought something bad towards someone fatter/uglier than them. It's natural instinct to judge someone's appearance, your brain makes a judgement within seconds of whether you find that person repulsive/normal/attractive and it's something you can't get away from. You instantly establish whether you fancy that person looks wise or not. The problem is, whether you choose to voice any bad thoughts. If you do, it's usually because you're trying to make yourself feel better. Either that or you consider making fun of people hilarious..which says more about you than it does them. If you choose to mention a persons weight because you're genuinely concerned for them or their health...and think they need a push in the right direction, then that's fine. But that person might not necessarily want help. There have been some people claiming that they're lucky to weigh next to nothing...I don't think that's luck. If you can't put on weight you may have an unusually small stomach, and be more fragile to disease and infection. Very skinny people are just as likely to have internal problems, even though they feel fine, their body is struggling to support itself on the inside. So maybe very skinny people shouldn't think they're lucky, or better... Infact they're just as unfortunate as those that are overweight when it comes to health. Even in terms of attractiveness, over skinny people aren't a pretty sight to most men. Unfortunately, a lot of girls trying to be size 0 think over skinny is a good look... As a man, I prefer my women without their hips poking out and their collar bones in full view. |
i think i weigh 7 stone i think well i was that last time anyway.

you go sunshine!!!!
Right im of to Sixth form now!!!! seeya later |
At one point in my life I was obese, but to most people I just looked overweight, that comes down to the fact that I am 6ft tall! I am a lot slimmer now, not waif like I have to say but an average size. Everyday is a struggle for me as I so easily gain weight, but it's worth it for how my size makes me feel.
I have no issue with people because of their size, we all make our own choices in life. |
Well..... I'm pregnant atm so yeah..... I am fat
Normally without le bump I wouldnt say I was fat, or skinny.... I have a curvy figure, slim waist but curves in all the right places. When I went thro my divorce last year I went down in weight dramatically and I hated it. I was very skinny and it just didnt suit me. I'm a size 10/12 normally so I dont think I would class that as fat Everybody is different, what some people class as fat others would class as overweight, while what some would class as skinny others would class as underweight. I think its all about being comfortable with who you are and thats the only thing that matters |
Wow I'm really surprised by what people said, it's always cool to see that some members do agree and had a past like mine so we can talk about it. I'm glad to help people to with my past, that's why I love TIBB.
