And you're in favour of Britain joining the EU?

On balance I'd vote for Hillary. I quite like Obama - tough choice. I think Obama will win for the Democrats, and McCain will win for the republicans (obviously). The thing is that many republican voters don't like McCain, because he is too centralist. Those voters won't vote for a democrat, so they may not vote at all.

Hillary is the fakest of the both.

She promises to bring the troops home pretty quickly, yet she was all for the war not so long ago. What's changed her mind? Could it be she's saying anything to get presidency?

Her healthcare plan will not be free despite what she says. It will still end costing the tax payer quite a bit of their money.

Her popularity is fading. People see right through her lies and desperation. She would be an even worse president than Bush, and that's saying something.

And I wouldn't be so sure she'll get the Texas or Ohio votes. In recent polls, Obama is closing the gap on her "popularity" in those states.

There's absolutely no proof that Clinton is lying about any of those issues. At least she's set out real plans, whereas Obama is just using his "I'm young, vibrant and exciting!" card to try and whip up the excitable people.

I think he could be a good future President, and a good Vice...but he's not experienced or mature enough, and doesn't have a backbone.

I keep on hearing this "not experienced enough" debate. He has a lot of experience. Please do some research.

Obama has a lot of ideas - ideas that can work - not like Hillary's ideas, which seem to sound great but won't really turn out great. If you actually took the time to actually research Obama's plans, you would see his plans might actually work. His plans are not impossible, unlike Hillary's.

There's a reason why Hillary is losing a lot of momentum. It's not because Obama is using his sweet talk to gain a lot of popularity, it's because people are seeing more of her "plans," and now knowing they won't probably work. It's all pipe dreams. People are starting to see right through her.

Don't get me wrong, McCain, Obama and Clinton are not great presidential candidates, but I think the whole of America needs a fresh start. Someone like Obama fits that bill.

I still think that Hillary should win

Funny Umbrella parody.

Warning - contains lots of sexual references.

I see the campaign has finally gone negative. Hillary Clinton's camp are trying to claim Barack Obama is a muslim.

Obama Muslim Slur

Shaun 27-02-2008 02:18 PM

No they aren't :conf2:

They fired some campaign worker last year for claiming that, and there's no proof whatsoever that the Hillary party are circulating that photograph.

Even so, so what? Hillary's been photographed in loads of traditional dress - it doesn't mean she adheres to any of the religions/beliefs that usually come with.

Load of Obama exaggeration, as per usual.

GiRTh 27-02-2008 02:19 PM

Tha article states they're trying to claim Obama is a Muslim. If Hillary doesn't know about this then she doesn't have much of a grip on her campaign.

GiRTh 27-02-2008 03:02 PM

Also, if this is an article circulated by an independent without the Clinton campaigns knowledge then Hillary has to denounce it in order to keep a clean campaign.

Once a campaign goes negative it can never go back and if the Clinton campaign is the first to go negative then that tells me they think they're in trouble.
