I'm not hon

BigSister 19-03-2008 06:40 PM

im sorry to hear about the car Kiz and i know what you mean about the sentemantal things my grandad and his partner got broke into a few months ago and they stole his mums ring and her mums ring plus a few other things

~Kizwiz~ 19-03-2008 07:50 PM

I am sorry to keep going on about it but I dont know how to cope with this, I feel so devastated

MarkWaldorf 19-03-2008 08:01 PM

What does "burning out a car" mean? Sorry I'm not big on cars.

Mrluvaluva 19-03-2008 08:04 PM

Setting fire to it Mark to cover their traces.

MarkWaldorf 19-03-2008 08:14 PM

Omg!

Red Moon 19-03-2008 08:15 PM

Burning the car out removes finger prints etc from the car. It destroys any evidence they might have left behind.

However in this case they decided to burn the car out about half a mile from the local fire station so not all the car was burnt out. The police are going over the car tomorrow to see what they can find in the way of fingerprints etc.

I'm now waiting for the other car to turn up in the same state in a few days time.

BTW thank you all for your kind words.

Mrluvaluva 19-03-2008 08:33 PM

I hope they find something out and nail the bastards. Hope you are all doing ok.

Sunny_01 19-03-2008 08:35 PM

Hey Kiz, was thinking about you all today.

I wish there was something we could say to make you feel better but it really is going to take a lot of love and time for you to start to feel safe again.

xxx

Mrluvaluva 19-03-2008 08:47 PM

I can't get it out of my head. I just can't comprehend what you are all going through. I just hope things get easier with time.

Red Moon 19-03-2008 09:00 PM

It's horrible.

supernoodles! 19-03-2008 09:58 PM

All I can say is Im very sorry for whats happened,i cant imagine what it must feel like.I know once my dads car got broken into when i was 8 and some of my stuff got nicked then. That was bad enough for me so this must be terrible!
It just makes it worse that they`ve now mindlessly destroyed something im sure you both worked so hard to pay for and maintain.Scum is what they are and they need to be found and locked up for good.

Red Moon 19-03-2008 10:55 PM

Thank you supernoodles! for you comment to the thread.

Having someone come into you house and nick your stuff while we were all asleep was bad enough, then things got worse when we noticed the cars had gone, and now we have found the first car burnt out and I know the same fate awaits the other car soon. Well it a bit like living in hell. I'm just waiting for the next call from the police. The remaining car had more fuel than then the first one they burnt out but it can only be a matter of days.

We can get another car, and replace the stuff in the house that was lost, but the problem is how do you rebuild the confidence of our two eldest girls who, are sharing a bed because they are scared to sleep alone?

I'm so glad that we will be getting out of this horrid city soon. Lets hope the girls can leave the bad memories behind them.

~Kizwiz~ 20-03-2008 06:31 AM

The realisation of whats happened sunk in last. I must have been running on adrenaline from the shock.

All I can say about things is I am heartbroken.

The fact that they have found the 1st car means that we will get the book price for it. The only thing is, we've had it for 3 week and will only get 80% of what we bought it for

Its left us all so insecure, that before bed we have to see if we are being watched. I know that the chances of them coming back for the rest in miniscule but you try stopping me thinking that.

Mrluvaluva 20-03-2008 08:42 AM

I don't know what to say. I just hope they catch them and that gives you some peace of mind at least.

Sunny_01 20-03-2008 09:19 AM

Morning Kiz and Red

I hope you find a little peace sometime soon. I am sure you will be really glad to see the back of this house which had preivously held such happy memories for you all. A new house a new start will hopefully help the girls find a new confidence.

James 20-03-2008 10:49 AM

Just hope you can get some peace of mind and some sense of security back soon.

GiRTh 20-03-2008 05:20 PM

Lets hope you can get back to normal as soon as possible.

~Kizwiz~ 20-03-2008 06:09 PM

Still waiting for the other car to be found..... its like being in limbo

At least we've been able to occupy our mind with the buy and sale of the houses.

Its a little village in Rutland (near Leicestershire)

Its a beautiful white cottage that we both fell in love with. Its got a massive family room just for the kids, and a lovely lounge and dining room with a coal fire.

Its the perfect place for us, but we havent exchanged contracts yet so we're still crossing our fingers.

It would mean a completely different life from the lone we have now. The kids can walk to school because its about 100 metres away. No traffic, no noise, no street lamps so we can see the stars.

The place we are buying was repossessed from the owner, so we've got a steal of a house. And because of the repossession we have to exchange and complete within 28 days. We dont have to move straight away as we still will have our house in leeds that needs doing up before selling, but we're hoping to be down there in 5 - 6 weeks. Red wont move there until the adsl line is connected
