How do you know? For people like me who find it all so boring and are not interested in joining in with the absolute bull, it does put me off. If I find I thread that interests me [they are few and far between lately] and I then see pages of off topic nonsense, do you seriously think it's good to sit there going through the pages looking for an on topic comment to respond to? No, it's not. So therefore, it does stop me from responding to those thread, thus putting me off.

The Amy21 business annoys me as well but only because I wasn't around at the same. I'm sure if I was then I would 'get' it. However I don't get put off posting in threads because of it because in a multi page thread I just tend to read the last page or so. If there are no relevant posts to quote then I'll just add my penny at the bottom, relating back to the thread topic, then usually someone comes along and quotes that and elaborates or argues against.

If I don't like something someone has posted in a thread, I have no idea or I don't feel like I can respond then I just ignore it.
