I totally agree with KKBL.
&The only people who'll buy Steph's single will be the clingy fans that resent her eviction.
Otherwise, no-one else will even care she's there.
WOW, she done GCSE music, plays the piano.
Her music has nothing to do with piano? She recorded a single because she can, because she is "famous". If she was so good, why is it a robot singing for her?

Stephanie is recording because she always wants to, she loves music, it was her agenda since she was little.
I didn't say her music had anything to do with a piano.
I didn't even mention her single.
I was referring to her TALENT.

Good for Stephanie.
So do millions of other people.
Thousands of them go on a show called The X-Factor.
for singers?

If some of the finalists in that can't get work, then what hope does a first-evicted big brother wannabe have?
"TO THE PERSON who said Steph has always been interested in music;;"

That was me. That was the context I was saying it in, I was referring to her talent, in the sense that she has always wanted to do it, and not just doing it cos she can, unlike Chanelle. If you read it properly you would have saw that.
I think it was implied that I didn't read it properly otherwise I'd have shoved a name there.
Either way.
If you've always wanted to do music, and sing.
You don't go on a show famed for it's wannabes and short-lasting fame.

You either go onto a show that specializes in it.
Or work your way up the more respectable, harder way.

KKBL 03-07-2008 06:54 PM

LMAO you should all just leave it.i mean lets face it neither of them have a future career in showbiz.

And that about wraps it up folks :thumbs2:. This man speaks the truth.

The difference though is that we have yet to see what becomes of Steph. Thats her advantage in this argument. We have ALREADY seen what Channelle can do though , and its weird how she actualy has fans.

Have people got nothing better to do?

Its clearly their in the post you quoted. But I suppose your just resorting to your usual tactic of being abstract and nonsensical.

When I say working hard.
I mean, working your way into the music business the same way most artists do.
Get your music out there.
Get it heard.
Gig.
And don't rely on reality shows.

Think about Lily Allen, Arctic Monkeys, Sam Sparro, OneRepublic, Keri Hilson, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Alphabeat etc?

They're all very successful.
I don't recall seeing Amy Winehouse on Big Brother.

Actually, she WAS on XF. Twice. Aswell as PTR.
Because there were clearly better people than her there, but it doesnt make her any good. THere are only 3 spots in the competition in her category, it doesnt mean she isnt good because she didnt make it.

Bells 03-07-2008 08:39 PM

As I mentioned before, I think Steph went on BB mainly for the fun - and fair play to her. As an aside, she'd be in the limelight again.

But she still has to work hard to get where she wants to be.

She's gigged till she dropped, she's recorded and sent to record managers, sent it to everyone, gigged up and down the UK.

Callum 03-07-2008 08:41 PM

Chanelle even though I really dislike what she's become.

I don't judge based on VTs. People say all sorts to get on the show, and hardly any of it is credible.

There is no clip. Her sister, sister in law and she herself have confirmed that she was on XF.

It was obvious she was doing it for the fame, why admit that if you were wanting to get on the show?

Plus on her eviction she said something like, At first it was all about the fame but now i would say the experiance.
Something along those lines.

This thread is about Stephanie vs. Chanelle: unless you have points to add about that, the thread will be closed.

By making a bold statement like that, she was noticed and put through. Also, I've already mentioned that the fact she'd be put into the limelight again was the icing on the cake. Her real aim was always to get into singing, it's obvious.

During her last few days, she wasn't putting on a front or anything, but was just being herself and having fun - it was refreshing to watch. I've always said she had potential but the opportunity was taken away from her.

In a way it's good though because now she's free to pursue the singing career she always wanted.
