Like I said above, I would much rather help an animal than a person.
She's 12yrs old, she should know whats right and wrong by now, the little imbecile.

None of us said no action should be taken. The disturbing thing is people saying they want to see the slow demise, torture and eventual death of a 12 year old girl. Sick bastards.

Funnily enough, I've found some hypocrites for people who were against capital punishment in the death penalty thread. Funny.
And what?
If the 12 yr old is intent on causing the poor innocent dog harm then so what?
Maybe I need to bold the first sentence in fear of you overlooking it AGAIN.

Lets see.... None of us said no action should be taken.

Consider your position - let's slowly and brutally murder everyone that causes any harm, ever? Great thinking. Let's not try and get to the root of anything, just slowly kill them. Great World you live in.

What is this thread!!!! A competition on who can be more savage and inhuman than the girl in question.....

I once had a young lad of about 8 that said he wanted to steal my dog and burn it......

Children can be monsters and some live out some of their evil thoughts.......Should they be punished in the way described by many on this thread......Of course not two wrong do not make a right and those sort of punishment would be sinking to the same level as her......

She is 12 and she may well be sick in the head......Like the lad who wanted to burn my dog.......The parental conditions should be looked at and both child and parents punished.....Certainly a life ban on parent or child ever keeping a dog...

The person that filmed it is also guilty of cruelty as such filming should only have lasted as long as needed to get a prosecution. It went on for far too long......

Violence is an ever increasing aspect of todays society. Must be something in the food..... .Even I who for most of my life have been a placid moderate now believes more drastic punishments should be applied to humans bad behavour including in some cases the death penalty for majot crimes but thats another debate.....

SHe is only 11. That dont just happen.
I'm inclined to agree with you. My daughter is the same age as her.

I know for a fact my child is not capable of such cruelty.

There's something seriously wrong with that child's head, or with her home situation.

And, I'd like to add that there's something seriously wrong with most of the contributors to this thread. Some of you have surprised me. Others, not so much.

Exactly right. NOt to say the parents are abusers, but i DONT THINk they were surprised or shocked. She seems so casual in doing that, I am sure she does it at home. So the fact that they arent even considering counselling for her is a bit strange. But people should automatically investigate her home situation. She could be abused herself.

On a side note, man, this thread has turned really ugly! Some of you people are truly vile!

Death threats made to ‘sick girl’

10:10am Thursday 30th April 2009
By Lisa Campbell

A 12-year-old girl has received death threats after a national newspaper released video footage of her ‘attacking’ a dog on a Keighley estate.

The child was branded the “sickest girl in Britain” by the newspaper after it was handed footage of her kicking, slapping and whipping 18-month-old springer spaniel Jasper with his lead, while she was supposed to be taking him for a walk.

The RSPCA is investigating the incident after the newspaper said the footage showed the girl standing on the dog’s tail and then kicking him “up to 14 times”, kneeing him and hitting him with his lead.

But the girl’s father has told the Keighley News that the unedited version of the 13-minute film shows the pup, belonging Ray Green, playing with his daughter and “having a good time”.

He said: “The piece they show on the Internet looks disgusting I agree but the longer 13-minute version shows the dog playing with my daughter, running back for more and jumping up at her for attention.

“The video stops as she looks like she is about to kick the dog’s head but if you continued to watch, the part it doesn’t show is her foot actually going over the dog’s head playfully.

“Anybody in their mind would have reported it to the RSPCA if they were actually concerned about the dog’s welfare — it makes me wonder about their motives.” The man said his daughter was “very distressed” and had received death threats from people in the street.

He said: “She was stopped by three blokes who told her that once they had seen the footage ‘we will do the same to you’.

“There have also been others made by adults and this is a 12 year-old girl we are talking about.

“When I first saw the film I was disgusted and went to speak to her but she started crying her eyes out and said ‘I wasn’t kicking the dog I was playing with it’ and I believe her. The dog loves her, even the owner will admit that. If a dog had actually been abused, it would not go back for more like that.

“Calling her the ‘sickest girl in Britain’ when you see the rest of the video is just ridiculous.”

Mobility scooter-user Ray Green, in his 60s, said he was “shocked” when he saw the film, but said the young girl should not be vilified.

He said: “The girl used to take Jasper for a walk up to two times a day and he absolutely loves her.

“Whenever she comes near, he is jumping up at the wall to see her, even now.”

He added: “What happened that day I do not know but she won’t be taking him out again. When I saw the video footage I was disgusted, I couldn’t believe it. I did not think for one minute she would do something like that to him.”

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said the incident was now under investigation.

“We can make no further comment at this stage,” she said.
