Kylie and Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie paired up to make Halloween a real fright night as they stepped out in extravagant costumes in New York on the weekend.

An unrecognisable Kylie, 41, looked frightfully pale in white panstick make-up, white wig and an outfit that seemed part film character Beetlejuice and part Showgirl.

Meanwhile, Black Eyed Peas star Fergie, 34, channelled iconic Egyptian queen Cleopatra with her bronze dress and heavy eye make-up.

TAIO CRUZ WORKING UP A NEW SOUND FOR KYLIE MINOGUE

AFTER working his magic on Cheryl Cole, Playlist favourite Taio Cruz is rustling up a new sound for Kylie Minogue.




The R&B ace, who has also penned tunes for JLS, plans to dump the signature style which earned him his first No 1 with Break Your Heart.




Taio told me: “I’ve done a couple of tracks with Kylie which sound amazing and very dancey, but that’s because most things right now are now – I’m making it very current.




“I have a certain style that I do in terms of songwriting, it’s there on Tinchy Stryder and it’s there on Break Your Heart and on the Cheryl record too.





“I’m stopping that now because too many people recognise it.” He said the songs he has worked on for Kylie, 41, are more of a departure from his old sound.





The London lad, whose new single No Other One is out today, is also intent on giving McFly a musical makeover.




Taio, 24, continued: “I was in the studio with them last week and they play their instruments really well.





“They are all really talented so it was easy to come up with a song together.”




My favourite tune on 26-year-old Cheryl’s album, 3 Words, is the Taio-penned Stand Up.





He said: “I personally want Stand Up to be Cheryl’s next single because I think it sounds like a hit, regardless of who was singing.”





And after seeing 35-year-old Kate Moss’s antics at the PlayStation 3 SingStar Take That party, Taio declared: “I’ll write Kate Moss a track and it will be a smash.”

Kylie Minogue to release live album from New York

Kylie Minogue is set to release a live album later this month.

'Kylie Live In New York', out on December 14 as a download, was recorded at the city's Hammerstein Ballroom on the singer's North American tour this autumn.

"I've wanted to tour in America and Canada for years," said Minogue of the tour. "I know that fans have been waiting a long time for this and I'm thrilled that the opportunity finally arrived."

A preview of the album will appear on YouTube from midnight on December 12.

Kylie Works With Madonna Producer

Kylie Minogue has revealed she is working with Stuart Price- who is most famous for his work with Madonna.

The Aussie star revealed the news on Twitter saying: “OK!!! It's official...My producer in the studio this week has been....the amazing Stuart Price!!!! Having fun and making magic :) ”


As well as Madge Price has worked with massive artists like Keane and The Killers. He has also produced his own material with Les Rhythmes Digitales and Zoot Woman.

Kylie is also working with Taio Cruz and Girls Aloud producers Xenomania on her new material which is likely to be released in 2010.

Kylie Minogue, Dannii Minogue celebrate grandmother's 90th birthday at Box Hill Best Western

A HUMBLE Best Western hotel may not seem like the obvious spot for pop princess Kylie Minogue and her TV star sister Dannii to spend a hot summer afternoon.

But the star siblings were perfectly happy to celebrate their grandmother's 90th birthday at the Box Hill Best Western yesterday.

The sisters were part of a wider family gathering to mark their granny's milestone.

The party started around noon at the hotel, with a function room booked for the occasion.

Tables were dressed with balloons and Australian flags for the casual celebration.

About 60 guests attended; Dannii and her boyfriend, Kris Smith, and her brother Brendan and his partner Rebecca, and their parents Ron and Carol, were among the first to arrive.

Heavy curtains were pulled shut to keep the event private.

Kylie arrived in Melbourne from London earlier this week.

She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Spanish model Andres Velencoso.

The celebration ended after four hours, but not without drama. As the Minogue family headed back to their home in the leafy eastern suburbs, Velencoso and Kylie hurried to the dentist in Malvern where he had treatment.

Dannii flew into Melbourne on Tuesday evening and was met at the airport by Smith.

Looking a picture of casual elegance, Dannii was thrilled to see Smith, who gallantly pushed her luggage trolley out to their waiting car.

Pop star Kylie Minogue turned New York's Empire State Building red and white on Thursday in honor of a cancer charity.

The Australian singer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, turned on the lights of the Manhattan landmark in a special ceremony to honor the Coty/DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Partnership, a charitable drive which promotes bone marrow donations.

Minogue, who is linked to beauty giant Coty through her self-titled fragrance line, was guest of honor at the lighting ceremony and pressed the button to illuminate the building in shades of red and white.

The event was followed by a fundraising gala on Thursday evening to raise money for the campaign.

Minogue recently announced her first ever North American tour which kicks off in Oakland, Calif., at the end of September.

POP princess Kylie Minogue has been indulging in her newfound passion of golf while in Melbourne.

Minogue and her handsome boyfriend, model Andres Velencoso, hit the fairway at Crown's exclusive Capital golf course on Thursday and again at the weekend.

The private establishment is rated as one of the country's best courses, although it is notoriously difficult to get an invitation to play there.

Crown's high rollers get to test their skills at the Moorabbin-based course.

And superstars such as Tiger Woods have also played a round there.

Minogue and Velencoso have quickly developed a shared love of the testing game and have played various courses around the world in the past year.

In April, reports in the British media claimed the singer had splashed out $82,000 on golf gear after sweeping into the sleepy English town of Gainsborough by helicopter and being fitted with made-to-measure irons, woods and putters.

Kris Smith, the boyfriend of Kylie's sister Dannii, joined Minogue and Velencoso at the weekend, noting his day on the greens on his Twitter page.

"Just played at the BEST golf course around, the Capital in Melbourne, outstanding place," Smith wrote.

Minogue and Velencoso arrived in Melbourne last week to attend the 90th birthday of Minogue's maternal grandmother, Millie Jones.

Kylie Minogue is reportedly ahead of schedule with the recording of the new album, with eight songs already recorded.

The Australian singer recently surprised executives at her record label, EMI, by submitting the new material – despite it not being due until much later in 2010, claims the Daily Star.

According to an anonymous source quoted by the tabloid the singer has recorded eight "upbeat" songs helmed by Madonna producer Stuart Price. Although eight songs were done the source said there was still "some way to go" before the album was complete.

Minogue's spokesperson revealed that N-Dubz had submitted songs for a possible collaboration – but there were no plans for a hook-up yet.

The new album will be the singer’s first since 2007’s 'X'.

Minogue sisters 'research family history'

Kylie and Dannii Minogue have reportedly been researching their family history in Australian documents from the 1950s.

The singers were allegedly inspired after spotting their mother Carol Jones on a passenger lists from a 1950s emigration scheme.

The information shows that Jones was born in Wales but moved to Australia when she was 12 with her parents. She was one of the Brits who sailed on a $16 (£10) ticket in 1955 to start a new life Down Under.

Jones later married Ron Minogue before setting down in Melbourne, Victoria, where they still live today.

"People come up to me and tell me they think I'm more British than the British. I've lived here (in the UK) for more than ten years and I feel totally at home - though in my heart I'll always be an Aussie," Contactmusic quotes Kylie as saying.

An 1891 census recently revealed that the sisters' great-grandfather Morgan Riddiford was a convict at HM Prison Gloucester in England, although it does not specify what crime he had been jailed for.
