And you figure this out how? This is the first series of BB where we haven't had the Red Button LF (there is an obvious clause albeit I do not see why, which allows them to differ with celebrity BB).

Alos, BB is aired around the wold and not all of the countries air streaming 24/7 - some don't air it at all.
Name me one which doesn't with the proof, because BBIndia at one stage had only one hour per night but that's changed. Even BBAlbania has 24/7 Live Feed.

Wrong the entire premise of BB as has been stated on a few occasions and was even up on Endemol's site until recently and printed on Stensionhouse's youtube account before it was pulled that BB was "A revolutionary (obv not anymore) reality TV show in which the viewing public were able to monitor a group of housemates around the clock, 24/7"

Also, C4 are doing streaming. It airs every night and early mornings. This was the most watched live-feed and this is why they kept it.

We have it better than a lot of other BB's around the world, especially with BBLB and BBBM as well.

BBUK is one of the most famous and popular BB's around the world, and Endemol would not want to get rid of it. It is unlikely that any other station would pick up BB after next year so I think Endemol will make C4 a pretty good offer.
No what C4 do is one hour of a HEAVILY EDITED show in order to cause favour or dislike toward the HM(s) of their choice. Along with a night time feed where NO TASKS get done and the HM(s) SLEEP.

First of all, even if Endemol wanted to "walk" they can't. C4 own the right until the end of next year. And after then, I don't think any other station will want BB.
Finally someine here talks sense about it. They can't axe it mid-series and won't until BB11 is over. How complicated is that to understand ?
Do you promise?
what are you on about, "do you promise", he is just a regular viewr like the rest of us, not some God or endemol worker:sad:

Do you mind chilling out? I was just messing about..
i am chilled, well it didnt come across as messing, and even though i have read over what i wrote it seems very chilled but since mine dint come across that way, sorry:blush2:

Course you're not gonna be watching it again if it's been axed... :conf:

This was a joke right?

officialleafan 09-06-2009 04:51 PM

It's not going to get axed for goodness sake. If money has been paid for the show to be broadcasted then it's going nowhere.

Just because the ratings are low doesn't mean that C4 are "OMG BREAKING THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THEYRE LOW!!!"

:bored:

Ethan.k 09-06-2009 04:57 PM

i dont think its going anywhere but i fear that it will:mad:

i love this show :(:(:(

i just want everyone to watch it tonight and get the figures up and to discuss it on here:thumbs2:

LolaSvelt 09-06-2009 05:00 PM

I'd laugh if it got axed.

Everyone (the housemates) would be told that the show got axed and they'd leave. They'd be pissed off!

They're already breaking the contract.

Endemol can end it if they wish.

Ethan.k 09-06-2009 05:05 PM

contact BBLB by phone, email or text about LF if you want now guys:hello:

Blink_Me 09-06-2009 05:05 PM

To be honest, Sky should buy the rights. They have more money, and they could do a better Big Brother imo.

stonedape 09-06-2009 05:07 PM

An inside source told me a guy named Joshwa is going into the house!!!!1 :thumbs2:

Ethan.k 09-06-2009 05:09 PM

for you live feed lovers:

bring back live feed b4 its too late!!!
bring back live feed b4 its too late!!!
bring back live feed b4 its too late!!!
bring back live feed b4 its too late!!!
bring back live feed b4 its too late!!!

How are they? The contract wouldn't have said that they HAVE to have Live feed. Everything they've agreed to is going ahead as usual. Just because some forum members are saying that the show is on the verge of being axed does not mean it's true

The Remit STATES that they are to broadcast (not film) 24/7

No TiBB doesn't like ibb for some reason...

Quote:

Firstly, let me introduce myself as Jacob. I have been verified by IBB and so this is genuine. Some people have tried to impersonate me and pretend to be me, but all is sorted now. (By the way, I'm not Jacob on TIBB. That's a fake also).

I work at on Big Brother and have provided information for you guys in the past. Including the full details of the house designs, what would happen on Sunday's eviction such as the bus, and other tidbits.

Now let's get onto pressing matters... the live feed:

We have been aware for months that live feed was not returning for BB. Channel 4 were satisfied with how CBB6 went earlier this year and felt that the live feed service was not needed for this summer.

Ultimately it's Channel 4's call. We (Endemol) want the live feed to continue as it's an essential part of Big Brother. We have always maintained that viewpoint and still do to this day.

However Channel 4 decided to discontinue the service for numerous reasons. Firstly, they are correct that less viewers were watching it compared to before. On the specific red button we would receive less than 10,000 viewers a lot of the time, although the E4 coverage would peak at a quarter of a million on most days.

Endemol tried our hardest to retain the feed by explaining that it's a core part of the concept and that raw viewing figures should not be only considered when making a decision.

There are other reasons the C4 discontinued the service, which are very complicated. Some of you might be aware that Channel 4's financial situation is not the best and the broadcaster are seeking a share of the license fee under recommendations from Ofcom. This however means that Big Brother has to take a backseat. Cutting coverage is one of the consequences unfortunately.

But so be it. The team have known this for a while, and we've worked hard to provide you a fantastic lineup of housemates, a stunning house and exciting twists.

As a production, we think the show has gone well so far. But obviously there has been a lot of negativity surrounding the show especially from you the fans. The main issue being no live feed of course.

The ratings have come in and the first couple of days were good. The launch especially was a success. But as you all know, it's not gone well since. (May I just add that I think some people are analysing the ratings too much. It's a Channel 4/Endemol matter, and it's not as easy to analyze these things as you make it out to be. There's other factors as well that are taken into account which I won't go into right now).

So anyways, Saturday and Sunday wasn't too good and a meeting happened yesterday between the people at the top of both Brighter Pictures and Channel 4. It was to discuss various things, one topic being the live feed which has led to a huge number of complaints recently. This was not a "crisis meeting".

From what I've been told, we tried to explain to Channel 4 about the concerns we had over the negative publciity the brand was getting. And how important this issue was to many people. Then of course we tried to negotiate certain things, including the return of the live feed.

I wasn't at the meeting, as I'm not high up but things get told over here. Yesterday late afternoon, I was told from another member of production that the meeting had gone well and that Channel 4 agreed in principal to bring the red button service back. We were absolutely delighted at the time and that's why I wrote it on here in my joy.

However, since then there have been some contractual issues which have come to light, meaning that the red button may not return. A situation like this can get very complex due to the sheer amount of work involved and numbers involved, so that's why certain things have changed since my announcement yesterday.

At this present moment, things are still in the air about what's going on. No one actually knows what is going to happen, and let's say that there is some bad feeling between us. However this does not affect how we work as a production, we still put 100% into everything we do to provide the viewers with the best experience.

So to cut things short: I'm sorry to say that at this present time it looks like Live Feed won't be coming back.

But please continue with all your complaints and petitions. The people at Channel 4 are aware of the situation and the more you complain, the higher the chance there is for some alterations of the live feed.

i did think jacob was reliable as hid house details were always perfect eg the blue cargo door to a bathroom, the orange and blue bathroom design, the heaxagon mirrors in the living room, the bedroom...and the bus sort of...but this letter, i dont know

A55A551N 09-06-2009 05:40 PM

That letter to me is a bit more legitimate than any "prediction" lol.

He's been verified via IP by ibb.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be axed mid-series.

Scarlett. 09-06-2009 05:50 PM

Its not likely they will decide to axe it so soon into its run

but this year, its like C4 are trying to get people not to watch
