But he isn't a faded pop star, he is a musical legend, this day will go down in history just like Obama's inurguration will, I know it's not the best thing to compared but it's true.

I think we are gonna have to agree to disagree with this one. I just dont see it the same way.
Yes, he had a few good singles and he could dance, I get that, but most of his 'legend' for me was created out him being screwed up. As for being faded.. well, yes to me he was. He hadnt released anything notable since '87 (2001s Invincible was pretty average) was reduced to wheeling a miming novelty show around the world to make some money to pay off debts.
I have no desire to piss you off or ruin what you think of him, but I cant get sentimental over this, and I just dont think its a big deal. No more then any human being dieing anyhow.
Anyway, I was always a Prince fan.
