...that's because I'm sick to death of seeing constant Cheryl hate threads on this forum every single day. There's never a break. Ever. The slightest thing she does and there's a thread made about it. Like I said, people act like she's a serial killer and after a while it really becomes tiresome. I am genuinely indifferent towards her - infact I've said in the past the panel would not be any different without her. And I would happily have her sacked in return for Sharon, who is miles better. I've said in the past that she's probably the least useful member of the panel, and still stand by that - but I defend her because the hate she constantly receives is so OTT, repetetive and often unnecessary.

I hardly think this is just a thread picking for the sake of it either, as quite a few cheryl fans have posted and admitted she was indeed in the wrong to do it at that time. I dont blame her for needing clarification on it, I would be the same if I thought someone had been slagging me off, but I would be bright enough to realize papers take most things out of context and not to bring it up infront of however many million people when I knew there was a chance of it being bollocks...

But like I said, when someone gives an interview to a paper - there's more chance of it being true. They can still take things out of context, yes, or the interviewee could be lying, but there is still more chance of it being true than if they just said 'a source told us'. In which case, before Wagner's explanation, she obviously thought there was a chance it was true, and, as a result - Wagner had been slagging her off to the nations press [millions of people], so she technically had every right to bring it up in front of millions of people.
And that's another thing - when she said she was 'proud of where she was from' and 'very grateful' for everything she has, she came across as very sincere and grateful for all of her success - something which her 'haters' often criticise her for not being.
