best ****e evaaaaaaa! Made me so nostalgic. dats how it's done. fook drake and lil wayne Tupac came back from the dead to show them how it's really done.
Now bring me back aaliyah! |
musta been tough for snoop though. I wouldn't be able to get through it if I had to perform with a hologram of my late bestie :bawling:

I'm hearing that Em helped with the motion capture.
Funny if you imagine him doing the walk etc :p |
They should do a hologram of Em of when he was still amazing :idc:

Have to say, I think the technology is awesome, but I just don't see the need for this at all. It seems a complete gimmick.
It just adds to the cult of dead rappers that exists. If a loved one was deceased, and someone offered me the chance to project a hologram of them into my living room, I'd say no thanks, that would be weird. As a one-off Dre should leave it at that, he's better than dragging round a hologram as the main focus of his show. |

I personally think it's just a money making ploy taking advantage of people that want Tupac. However, if the people that are being targeted by this gimmick are happy with it, then that's the main thing. I was never a huge Tupac fan, so I wouldn't see him in concert if he was alive to day, but I guess I can appreciate the attachment that some people might see. It does open the floodgates for a load of mediocrity to come flooding back. |
I just hope this doesn't happen with everyone now.
Some sites saying it cost 5-10m to do. Others say 600k. |

Look at how the movie industry has flooded the cinemas with films that have already been made. This will be the same thing. Technology gets cheaper and cheaper, so it may be expensive now, but in 5 years, every idiot and their dog will be using it. |
Though, if they done this for Big L it would be epic.
He hasn't got as big an appeal as Pac and Biggie though. Surprised Dre didn't do it for Eazy E instead though. |
It cost about 100k atleast

Dr Dre has topped Forbes's annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings list.
The rapper was revealed as the highest-earning hip-hop star in the past year, despite not having released an album in over ten years. The majority of Dre's $110 million (£69m) income is from his Beats by Dr Dre headphones line, which HTC bought a 51% stake ($300 million) in last year. Diddy lands at number two with earnings of $45m (£28m), thanks mostly to his stake in Diageo's Ciroc vodka. Jay-Z, who topped the 2011 list, pulled in over half of his $38m (£24m) from business ventures, including ownership stakes in cosmetics company Carol's Daughter, the Brooklyn Nets and a joint project with battery maker Duracell. "The reality of it is, you want to do something that you own," said Timbaland, who ranks at number 20 on the list with $6m (£4m). "You want to own what you put your heart into. That's how you make money." Snoop Dogg is at 14 with earnings of $8.5m (£5.3m), followed by 50 Cent at 15 with $7.5m (£4.7m). Hip-hop's top 10 earners in full: 1. Dr Dre - $110 million 2. Diddy - $45 million 3. Jay-Z - $38 million 4. Kanye West - $35 million 5. Lil Wayne - $27 million 6. Drake - $20.5 million 7. Birdman - $20 million 8. Nicki Minaj - $15.5 million 9. Eminem - $15 million 10. Ludacris - $12 million |
Thought Eminem would have been worth more
|
Well he didnt do much in 2011 so it seems good to me.... although Dre hasnt done anything in forever but its all about the beats
|
Pretty sure Diddy topped last year, not Jay.
|
