I haven't read anything about this..what is Jay 28? ish.......how humiliating that his mum feels the need to talk for him....If Jay has something to say, he'll say it..otherwise she needs to pipe down and do some knitting

We were shown a clip of them talking about splitting it. Whos to say that later in the day they didnt have a change of heart and decide that whoever wins..wins?

Again, relying only on what BB show us, which lets be honest...throughout the show, hasnt really tallied up.

It's possible but doesn't fit with what his mother has said here

She didn't say that, the article said that; that was technically his official winnings so they're not wrong in stating that. The article is ambiguous as to whether he has stuck to his deal or not, but Jay's Mum explicitly states that Aaron has gone back on the agreement

that's the bit I'm not getting. I don't mind debating as long as there is an honest and candid consideration of the situation as we are aware of: but to completely avoid the very obvious that Jay is being portrayed by his own mother - as being exactly the same as Aaron - yet somehow, only Aaron gets the flack..... it's hilarious! :D

Ah right. so let's go back to the beginning here then. The article is ambigious. Okay, I'll go with that - so because it is ambigous, you are ignoring what it says about Jay and his £15,000.

But when the same ambigious assumptions are made abour Aaron and his winnings.... you don't ignore that - yet you did when it is related to Jay - or indeed, his mother - who is the one the newspaper quotes: which is why she is being discussed and given flack. We don't know what she says is true either way: about Jay OR about Aaron.

I think that's highly hypocritical. In fact, it IS highly hypocritical. and to that end, there is absolutely no point in debating further with you - as you very much are on a one course direction - and showing complete inability to apply the same rules to one person, as you do another.

Nope. You've misunderstood.

Jay's Mum makes an explicit statement that Aaron has gone back on his deal. Nowhere is there anything said about Jay's deal, and his Mum doesn't even mention his prize money

I trust that's corrected you :)

It was pretty obvious that it was done because they suspected Aaron would win, and were determined he wouldn't get the £100k:bored:

Please refrain from being patronising MTVN, there really is no need. thank you.

I would like you to show me where Jay and/or Aaron has confirmed anything regarding the money. Not some heresay from Jay's mother - who let's be honest, is whoring this as far as she possibly can. The way she's going on and has been, she's excelling Kerry Katona's mother. In fact, she could probably give her lessons!!

until then: consider your posts on this subject ignored.

Surely Jay himself would have said something if this was the case.

Its just his mother sticking her nose in places it doesnt belong, its nowt to do with her. If Jay had a problem, I doubt he would be backwards in coming forwards about it.

If anything, her coming out with all this bollocks, might make Aaron less likely to split. Why should he when his character has already been tarnished about it(again) before hes even had a chance to sort it?

Foot in mouth syndrome, I think she has...

Shes just jumping the gun. The whole article is ridiculous, from her claiming Jay is the real winner, to her accusing Aaron of stuff there hasnt even been time to sort yet.

Throughout the series she has come across as a desperate tool tbh. I think shes just bitter that her very organised campaign did not work.

I'd say she is doing more damage to Jay's credibility (I know, even that's a contradiction in terms), but she is.

It was much the same with all her desperate tweets to Cheryl Tweedy, Ant and Dec etc.

She's going to end up costing him a lot of fans who will be sick to the back teeth of her interferring and causing more trouble when neither Jay or Aaron have spoken up about this.

God good, the woman could not be more bitter if she tried - and it is so incredibly obvious that she is as pissed off to Hell that her son didn't win.

Maybe she should spend more time teaching him to be less aggressive, less violent and have better toilet habits: then perhaps he'd be able to make a decent living, instead of whoring himself on reality type tv shows. You'd think he 'd get the message by now: he's a bad 'un and 2 reality tv shows later - should start homing that message to him. (and her)

But she seems to think Jay isn't bothered, I admit that does sound odd when we're talking about such a large amount of money though. I'm happy to wait until we know the full story, but it does seem to me that the deals not going to go ahead, for whatever reason.

Vicky. 14-11-2011 07:15 PM

Personally I think she wants to launch her own media career off the back of her sons 'success'

...I can actually believe that..he wasn't that fussed on spending the £500 on Tom...because he wasn't used to having that sort of money..and now I guess he's doing publicity and photo shoots and has more money coming in anyway...they have the time of their life when they come out.....mum's probably p*ssed because he hasn't had time to text her...she's just trying to get Jay's attention

Wow -- all this talk is crazy. I really enjoy the BBUK version-- in some ways more than the version we have in the US. I like the weekly vote going to the fans a lot. One thing about the US version is definitely better. The contracts are binding and the rules can not be altered at any point. We call that FRAUD and there's even a special commission set-up to patrol Game Show/ Reality Show Prize $$ Fraud. How do we know BB wasn't aware with all the previous vote percentages that Aaron was a shoe-in so they took half the money away from him and gave the others half?
Since there are no live feeds we have nothing but their word for anything. I know it's it their contract that BB can change the rules at anytime but isn't there a law against GRAND LARCENY in the UK????

BBFanDan 14-11-2011 07:21 PM

Jay's mom must be so bitter. Actually funny! Ah, reminds me she was trying to get replies from Cheryl Cole on Twitter...

Keep your money Aaron :)

I doubt Jay or Jay's mum even know if the deals going to go ahead or not. Probably haven't even spoken to Aaron since the final. Jay's mum is most likely just assuming the worst.

Even better: in Scotland, word can be regarded as legally binding in some cases.

Are you talking about the changing of the prize fund to £50,000 for the winner?...I presume that comes under the 'BB can change the rules at any time and make it up as they go along...'...I honestly don't know what contract is signed by the H.M's regarding the actual prize money amount...but Aaron would do well to check that out

Absolutely. How can there be any integrity when one side can change things midstream while the other may not? That's always been my only problem with the UK version. We may have insane taxes here but if we're hired for $100k they have to pay $100k. Also, in the US when you're on BB you get a stipend -- over $750.00 week for every week you're on a Reality-based game show. That way the network can't make money without paying all the contestants. That's US law -- I don't thing Endemol/CBS would pay if they didn't have to.

It is something that I DO agree is wrong. But clearly their lawyers have got it covered, otherwise they would not get away with it.

Scotty07 14-11-2011 08:40 PM

After the way he's been treated throughout the entire series and since he's come out and today's pathetic 5 minute winners interview on OKTV, he deserves the lot imo, whether he agreed to split it or not.

Either way, he's still the greatest ever housemate in BBUK history imo.

I think I might go outside now and set off some fireworks in my Aaron wins BB12 t-shirt.

Take some of my Tibbs Aaron Million Dollars to go buy a really expensive lot: in fact, use some of it to bring in a reputable Pyrotechnic company: if a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

..yes the changing of the prize fund was very shabby indeed. It's like being on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and on the last question, being told you'll only get half a million if you get it right, I assume they can do it, legally, I mean, but it was wrong and if I were Aaron I certainly would have a solicitor check it out...I would certainly be furious, if I was Aaron

Because it was a stich up on BB's part from start to finish.

Because mammy is lying.

Because there is little truth in any of all of this 'who is getting what shares'.

You can bet that this was all done on BB's instructions, for nothing more than to bring in intrigue, arguments and having fans voting like crazy.

After all: BB plays the game too. ;)

I don't think Jay cares about Aaron splitting the money coz he knows that he wouldn't, if he had won.

Marmalite 14-11-2011 09:46 PM

Mrs Waggott reminds me of those big fat ugly American Mums who put their little daughters into those beauty pageants because they were never pretty enough to enter themselves so are now trying to live through their kids. Did she always wish to go into BB but never had the chance or given the opportunity so is now living the experience through her son or something?

She so needs to get over it. Aaron won fair and square. What part of this is a voting show and it was "vote who you want to win" this year not to evict does she not understand? .... So therefore Mrs Waggot, it's atually Aaron who was the peoples champion as he got the most votes, not Justin.

Also who the hell, and a mother at that, would boast over the fact that someone had death threats???? Is she for real??? And as previous poster said can Justin not speak for himself or does everything have to be said through his PR manager Mrs Sue Waggot, Inc. first?

Ridiculous women! Can she not just disappear now.... please!
