Big Brother loudmouth Chris James has been left dismayed by claims his drunken rants made life hell for other housemates.
The bailiff, 21, last night insisted he is not aggressive but said he regrets boozing in the telly house.
In his only newspaper chat since being booted out on Friday, Chris said: “To hear people calling me aggressive is very upsetting. I’m offended by it, to be honest.
“People are always quick to judge me and call me aggressive because of my job. I wish I hadn’t come across that way on the show.”
Admitting he was warned to stay off the booze while on the hit reality show, Chris said: “My mum told me not to drink in the house because when I drink I get into arguments. After the first row I decided not to drink any more.
“I wish I’d done what I was told and avoided it completely.”
Chris suffered a backlash from viewers after he targeted wildcard housemate Becky Hannon, 19, just a few hours after she was voted in last weekend.
Admitting he regrets the row with the popular drama student, Chris said: “It can’t have been nice for her to have a fight not long after going in the house.
“I regret that argument and feel bad about it. But we were always going to clash, we’re both loud and have strong opinions.”
Fans also saw Chris, from Luton, argue with hunky Luke Scrase, 24, over the lack of food.
And he reckons the nightclub promoter is desperate to win the £100,000 Big Brother prize money.
Chris said: “Luke is playing the nice guy so he doesn’t get nominated and it’s fake. He’ll do whatever it takes to win.
“He’s got into a relationship with Ashleigh Hughes but it’s not real. Quite a few housemates think it’s fake.
“He could hurt her feelings by doing it because she likes him. I think they will end up having big arguments.”
