Gina is incredibly thick and fails to understand how pathetic she looks with her continuous obsession with Hazel. And she had the nerve to throw the word fake at Hazel. Pot and kettle Gina. Never mind you wouldn't get it anyway. Dozy woman.

aman201 22-08-2013 11:00 PM

Helen is awful. :joker:

"Basically yeah, basically yeah"

Good god.

Gina was quite good tonight i thought. I like Helen as well.

CaudleHalbard 22-08-2013 11:01 PM

Can we please have Dexter to replace AJ ? :)

He can cope with the quick fire stuff very well. Even on his first panel appearance, he was confident and articulate.

Thank god Dexter was on that panel, he carried the whole lot of them....where was Gina tonight.?

Gina looked and sounded terrible as usual. She was well out of her comfort zone and didn't have much to say for herself.

Her make-up looked weird and she had a very shiny nose, got knows what she had put on ther face this time.

Because some fools are still banging on about "Dexter being sexist" and all that nonsense, deflecting from their own childish moron HM Sam who made not only a Trans phobic comment tonight but another crude unfunny remark about women.

Yes it was. But since I'd already quoted Dex saying 'ride her like seabiscuit' earlier in the thread, how bout go with the assumption that I don't actually think anybody is riding anybody else on a piece of hard tack?

omg I remember that  much like BB and CBB people didn't get that she WAS the show, it actually died when she left

I was actually thinking about IAC the other night and couldn't for the life of me think who was on it/who won, then Helen popped into my head and I remembered all of her amazing moments, and I spent ages trying to think of who won but I genuinely couldn't remember so I had to Google it and then I realised it was that tedious dullard Charlie Brooks and I thought 'well that explains why I can't remember her' :joker:

She has to do CBB at some point, she is like perfect

In response to people making comments about Sam being sexist. It's not out of some desire to always see the best in him, it's out of sheer bafflement at how anybody can set his comments next to Dexter's and come to the conclusion that Sam's a sexist but Dexter isn't.

Read back through the threads and see just what 'fools' started that,it certainly wasn't a Sam fan,it was a Dexter fan calling Sam out on a remark he made after dexter had said about riding someone like SeaBiscuit!!! double standards much.

I loved everyone on that panel, except Sam. He just wasn't funny or quick witted i'm afraid.

Are you seriously saying a joke remark about riding someone like a horse is AS BAD as Sam's comments tonight...now be honest and not with Sam tinted glasses.?

Dexter made a joke comment about two people having sex like someone riding a horse that BOTH men and women in the audience laughed at...unlike Sam's rather crude remarks that no one laughed at.

Honestly, I think it's worse. Sam's were crude comments, not particularly funny and a bit cringey because he seemed to be playing up the rude jokes (probably been told that's what was really funny about him, given the way they intro'd him) partly because he doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on. But his comments are all about the effect those women have on him. Dexter's comment was about what a male housemate would 'do to' a female housemate. In response to a question about whether or not the girl was likely to hook up with a guy, he went straight to what that meant the guy would do to her and in doing so compared her to an animal. Yes, I think that's worse than Sam's crudeness.

Im just stunned that people can't tell the difference between non sexist remarks that refer to people having sex and someone randomly making crude and unpleasant remarks that pretty much left the room stunned.

I beg to differ with you im afraid.

Maybe im too pro Dexter biased to see it, or maybe your too anti Dexter to see my point...but we'll have to agree to disagree...but I doubt Dexter's joke upset or insulted anyone.

DanaC 22-08-2013 11:25 PM

Well, for a start I am not anti Dexter. I like Dexter. I liked him on tonight's show, and I even found the sea biscuit line funny. I didn't find Sam's comments funny. But that isn't what we were talking about, we were talking about sexism.

And we were only talking about that because some people are so blinded by their love for Dexter that they cannot see sexism when it comes out of his mouth.

Sam's comments were sexist. But they were pretty run of the mill sexist. They were very coarse, and inappropriate and not very funny. But on the same panel where someone uses the phrase 'ride her like Seabiscuit' it is bizarre that anybody would choose the lad who claimed to have an erection because a girl was pretty as sexist over the one referring to a man using a woman like a racehorse.

Vanessa 22-08-2013 11:27 PM

We'll have to agree to disagree then.

I know Helen was robbed, when she left I thought, atleast let Rosemary or Ashley win as they're entertaining... Then the dull Charlie Brooks won :bored:

Women and men have to be involved for anyone to ride anyone like a race horse (I cant believe I even typed that sentence out lol) so I don't see the sexism in Dexter's comment.

DanaC 22-08-2013 11:44 PM

You don't think it's sexist because women and men have to be involved. ok. Well, not much I can say to that.

So are you saying that the man involved in the act is any more or less apart of the joke?

DanaC 22-08-2013 11:57 PM

His role in that joke is one of agency and power, he is the one riding. Her role is one of submission, she is being ridden like a racehorse. Sex becomes something that is done to her, rather than something in which she is an equal participant.

CaudleHalbard 23-08-2013 12:03 AM

I'm sure the philosophical aspects were the last thing on his mind! :D

I'm guessing the producers encourage then to be a bit 'saucy'.
