Well Belgium is in my B3. How diabolical.

Joelle. 16-03-2014 11:40 PM

I love ours, but Israel, Macedonia and Sweden >>

Black Dagger 17-03-2014 10:49 AM

Russia will have their song presentation today
Austria will have theirs tomorrow.

Then we are all done here until May.

Black Dagger 18-03-2014 12:29 PM

And with Conchita Wurst' reveal, we are just waiting on Russia later.

It will bomb - it has appalling lyrics and no new sound to catch the judges ear. Another diabolical entry. :nono:

****ing rude

Benjamin 19-03-2014 12:49 PM

Lucas I need you to remove the quote part of your post.

Black Dagger 19-03-2014 12:52 PM

ooops done.

Black Dagger 19-03-2014 12:52 PM

So annoying how SF2 is so superior to SF1 as well, SF2 is going to be a ****ing blood-bath.

Benjamin 19-03-2014 08:42 PM

Updated the OP.

And I agree with the SF1/SF2. :(

Black Dagger 19-03-2014 08:44 PM

Although in saying that, I have warmed to Azerbaijan's song, a lot better than the ****e from last year, so they can buy another top 5 if they want.

And tyvm Benjamin <3.

Benjamin 19-03-2014 09:19 PM

Azerbaijan usually do quite well and usually have a great song representing them.

-remembers Running Scared-

Gives Molly a better chance though tbf, although I doubt a Big 5 country will ever win again since viewers only get to hear their song once.

And Azerbaijan just buy all their votes, so no they're not winning lol. The rules on voting were tightened but I can't remember exactly what it was all about. Something to do with other countries helping each other gain votes and vice versa.

Black Dagger 19-03-2014 10:03 PM

Lena won a few years ago, so they still stand ~some~ chance, just not as great.

Molly' chances depend on her draw tbh. She has 2 more chances of being in the 2nd half. So hopefully she gets it, or is late on in the first half.

Headie 20-03-2014 02:18 PM

Look at this eurovision-based poll that users from all over Europe get to allocate points to their favourite songs (ESC voting style):
http://www.tummiweb.com/scorewiz/sco...l-vote-for-all

http://www.tummiweb.com/scorewiz/sco...l-vote-for-all

They got the winner right in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013. In 2008 they picked Sweden and in 2011 Hungary.

Looking good for Molly :amazed: And apparently she confirmed on BBC Radio 2 and on Twitter that she's going on a promotional tour! She could win it this year if everything falls into place.

Loukas 20-03-2014 02:41 PM

poland should have stuck to the polish version :idc:
their english version sounds, strange?

Black Dagger 20-03-2014 02:58 PM

That is brilliant news Hayden

It really does depend on her draw, if she gets a late slot... 19th/20th with brilliant staging and stunning vocals then I'm confident in saying she has top 3 sewn up. But I do believe the draw is vital. A late first half wouldn't worry me either tho.

Loukas 20-03-2014 02:59 PM

Also i now think Armenia is the UK's biggest competition, their song has 17,000+ likes on YT.

Black Dagger 20-03-2014 02:59 PM

Oh and I hate Poland, it's one of the songs I want culled in the beautiful SF2

Black Dagger 20-03-2014 03:00 PM

I think Armenia will be the 'mainstream' song that doesn't do as well as everybody expects. It all depends on his draw, because Hungary has been hyped as well, and they'll split votes.

Black Dagger 20-03-2014 03:02 PM

Although I still think both will qualify, just on the basis of how ****ing weak SF1 is.

Loukas 20-03-2014 03:03 PM

So Lucas, do you think Molly has a chance of taking it this year now that we know all the songs?

It's hard to say at this stage, I think she's got more of a chance than we've had in years, more so than Jade imo. But like I just stated above, she needs a late draw just to really benefit, I think the juries are going to love her though and she seems to have Europe on board. And she's actually my favourite this year, and I haven't liked an entry since Scooch, so she's doing something right, I like to think we stand a good chance. Top 10 really shouldn't be out of the question, would be disappointed with any lower than that, unless she's ****e live on the night like Jemini bad, then she'd deserve it I suppose.

Headie 22-03-2014 02:47 PM

Molly starts her European Promotional Tour on the 5th of April in Amsterdam.

Greece is definitely my guilty pleasure of the bunch upon first listening.

More than anything, I just want Valentina to get to the final. Four years she's been trying :(

I hope she doesn't, the song isn't very good IMHO, last years was better.
San Marino need to learn to stop jamming in the same artist every year, they only started in 2011 with a different artist and since 2012 they've had valentina  seriously, if you want to qualify, don't put someone in that have a shockingly bad start. Facebook (Uh Oh Oh) was awful, but they didn't learn from their mistakes.

Headie 24-03-2014 10:05 PM

Armenia's odds are rumoured to start dropping soon after the singer made homophobic remarks about Conchita (the Austrian entry):
https://twitter.com/platadossemis/st...857920/photo/1

http://www.epress.am/en/2014/03/24/b...c-remarks.html

I don't want him to win anyway. There are far better songs and it's way overrated.

Black Dagger 24-03-2014 11:07 PM

Oh piece of ****, he can take his dub-step elsewhere now. Can't stand ignorance and homophobia and I love Conchita's song.

He was a diva anyway, he had a live performance of his song, and gave hand movements telling the crowd to simmer down when they were talking quietly.

Black Dagger 24-03-2014 11:10 PM

Urgh, why couldn't Axel Hirsoux be a massive raving homophobe

what a mug!! Ugh, good riddance to him.

in other news Undo grew on me like mad

Tregard 25-03-2014 07:58 AM

Moustache is starting to grow on me more than I thought it would.

lostalex 25-03-2014 08:16 AM

DO you guys think Russia is gonna face consequences because of the whole invading Ukraine thing?

Crimson Dynamo 25-03-2014 08:23 AM

why is he a homophobe for not liking a gay cruising park?

because it's homophobic to hate on gay love? do you think they would hate a park where straight people went to hook up? no they'd think it was romantic, not creepy.

Oh this is a park where couples meet under the stars, isn't it romantic?

but if it's gay men, then it's perverted and wrong.

Its because they are having sex there is why, Straight couples tend not to do this. When they do, like dogging, most people find it revolting and would drive by a bit quicker if they thought it was going on.
