Some people seem to have been watching a different show from me. Jim didn't ask or expect everyone to be quiet. He was sitting minding his own business with a cuppa when Dappy came out and commented on him sitting out there, so he explained he wanted peace and he didn't want Dappy to say anything, because he/it was alright. He was obviously knackered and ashen-faced and he's maybe not at his best late at night. Fair dos.

With the best of intentions, Dappy took it upon himself to go and say to people that Jim wanted to go to bed. What's the problem with that? Wee small hours.. Jim's tired .. they all share a room ... But Linda immediately launches into her favourite mode of being vile about Jim in a loud voice so he'd hear, and the cut meant that we didn't hear what else was said, but no doubt he'd have heard more, because Luisa has a voice like a foghorn and is never slow to voice her opinions. How is any of that Jim's fault? Yeah, he was really grumpy thereafter, but so what - I don't blame him: I cannot stand the nasty atmosphere that Linda creates with her bitching, and Luisa is Linda's staunchest ally and sidekick now, so he wouldn't necessarily have seen the humour in her calling him "The Grim Reaper".

I'm not a Jim fan: I've never seen his show, and I'd probably hate it if I did, but he is getting a raw deal from some of the people in that house, and I don't think it's deserved.

I agree, but it's probably easier said than done in that place and under these circumstances. He was probably missing Lionel too, because he and Lionel would often sit and chat together in the evenings.

That's quite nasty IMO just because someone had drink addiction in the past doesn't mean they can't overcome it, I have seen a few housemates put away more drink than he does but they don't get continually called an alcoholic.

Jim said himself that he learned to control his drinking when it started causing problems in his life, he said he still takes a drink but knows when to stop and he has been seen on the show switching to tea when other housemates are still downing the booze.

It's not nasty josy, If you want to call yourself an ex alcoholic you first have to stop drinking.
He hid wine and has been seen drinking cans in the morning.

My opinion is that it's nasty Kizzy and I'm entitled to say that, seen you have digs at his drinking the past few days and I think it's a cheap shot tbh.

He drank the can in the morning (1) btw because BB had taken all the food, teabags and everything else away.

Well thankfully we don't have the same libel laws in the US as you do in the UK. I've heard about people being arrested for things they say on twitter in the UK, luckily i don't have to worry about that. :xyxwave:

I would hate it for you to be wrongly accused of something but later the charges were dropped, how would you like it for everyone in your neighbourhood gossiping about you.

Jim had already gone to bed for the night and got up purely because of the noise so as to seek some quiet in the living room, why would he then decide to sneak a drink of wine? And how is he supposed to be feeding this alcohol addiction with the limited supplies they have in there and under the noses of the cameras and the other housemates in there, most of whom have been a lot more clearly under the influence of alcohol than Jim has?

Lostalec -I have lost count of the number of times I have been sexually assaulted by men in my life, particularly having my legs and boobs groped, and it started when I was about 14, with people who were friends of the family. As an adult I got my boobs groped by a kid of about 10 years old in the street, a medical consultant during a hospital appointment, a solicitor who was a friend of my husband, loads off blokes I was out on a date with, after I'd told them to keep their hands off my boobs... and more. Some were just being cheeky, most stone cold sober, lots just didn't know that "No" means "no", (and that is anyway a muddy area..) The thing is that it happens, and it still happens today, and loads and loads of men are doing it. Clearly in some cases it is inappropriate and unacceptable, such as the consultant who did it to me.. but in other cases, such as in dating situations, it's a difficult issue and there are probably loads of men who are guilty of some kind of sexual misconduct if you choose to view things in a particular way. I'm not condoning it, but if I went to the police and filed a complaint against all the blokes who've grabbed my private parts with no encouragement from me, I'd never be out of court. We don't know what these allegations were, and they've been dropped, so it's not fair to speculate really.

Can I ask the Jim haters one thing, if you were in that house and very tired and wanted to get some sleep in the bedroom (you know, the place where folks are meant to sleep) wouldn't you have any right at all to be rather put out that people (who you know are trying to goad you into a reaction) are making rather childish and pathetic noises in order to keep you awake.?

But you are actually supporting my point, because you said none of the men that molested you have been convicted in a court, therefore, sexual assault victimizers are walking free but they are considered "innocent".

Let's face it, Jim is an old miserable git. Has he watched BB previously? The bedroom has never, in any series of BB been a haven of peace when the HM's have had a drink and are letting their hair down. The HM's are in a pressure cooker environment and letting it rip now and then is going to happen, and Jim Davidson and his needs aren't paramount and neither should they be.
Even when music was played into the house last week - not the bedroom - he went 'FGS!' and grumped off into the garden to sit looking like he was sucking a lemon.
There are YOUNG people in the house, and young people aren't going to curb their energy and high jinks in a one - off experience of a lifetime to suit one person. My goodness, Lionel, Linda and Liz not only accepted that, but joined in. Did we ever hear them complaining?
Jim can sleep to his hearts content when he leaves the house - for God's sake man make the most of something that you willingly went into, are getting paid for and should be enjoying to the full.
I personally think that his problem tonight was that the HM's were singing the Lionel song they made up over and over and that really got to him. One frame went to him lying in bed and it looked like he was giving the finger. :hugesmile:
Then he got up and went into the lounge as usual to draw attention to himself as poor Jim not able to sleep. Why not just stay in bed and count sheep? Then to cap it all he ends the saga by lying down on the bedroom floor by the door. What on earth? If that wasn't attention seeking, what was that about? Grow up!

I've never seen a year on the forum where people complained about the HM's having fun because one person wasn't up for it OR one where the fun in the bedroom was blasted before lights out. The prissy party pooper attitude this year because of one HM is quite bizarre.

I don't think you understood my point, because if they said 'okay Jim we'll got to another room', then that wouldn't piss him off...and my point was that why would you want them to stop doing stuff that's going to piss one another off? That's exactly what we want. Sure, I wouldn't want to live amongst it but I'm not, just watching it
