I can see why ratings are down. People saw the lineup and thought 'those awful people again? No thanks' whereas CBB17 was given a chance and became somewhat water-cooler TV again (like CBB13/15) which is missing this year. CBB17 is still better than this series already

I think they need to ply them with alcohol tomorrow night and let it kick off and eject someone which will then allow some press attention to be drummed up over the Friday to coincide with the first eviction of the series. Then, with the money saved from Ray J, Brandon and the ejectee's fee, they can afford to send in Pricey and Perez with 500k/600k each in either a special Sunday night show or on the second eviction on Tuesday.

It's also backfired on the producers for trying to save money. They got Nicola (who I think deserves to be there but apparently the general public don't) as the cheaper version of Pricey, Austin and Speidi (again Speidi deserves to be there and I think the general public agree) as the cheaper versions of Perez and James J as the cheaper version of Katie Hopkins basically.

I was thinking yesterday that there'd been a few boring-ish episodes. I don't think it's awful or anything and I'm still enjoying watching it, but it's definitely not one of the most interesting series.

I'm finding certain aspects really boring though, mainly the love interest stories (Callum/Jasmine/Jamie/Nicola :sleep: ), I've got no interest in them at all.

The negative reaction on here to Chloe is kind of ridiculous

Tbf most of the overhyped GS contestants end up all being the same and awful. I remember Charlotte being hyped up as she was the first and she was a diabolical housemate :sorry:

After Scotty and Marnie were both terrible yet did well because of the pre-existing GS fanbase I'm not excited about Chloe (especially considering the other two who have entered are iconic)

It genuinely took me a while to recall where Marnie finished last series (and not just a question of where she came in the final, since it took me a minute or two to remember she was even in the final to begin with), so... that bodes well?

Most of the interesting players have gone - the voting system in no way represented those who should have been up for eviction. Nicola would have been gone long ago - as would Colleen. Those that are left are there just because the evictions are no longer done by housemates - there are so many gimmicks, and twists and turns that are now boring and not representative of how viewers feel. This is the last one I will be watching as now Speidi have gone, the ones that are left are there because people aren't voting to evict but to save, it may be more revenue but it means that the spread is different - anyway dull dull dull -
