It's like all the sets are disappearing.

Soon, all that will be left are The Vic, Stacey's kitchen and Sharon's kitchen. I swear most episodes take place in those spaces.

Once a fortnight we venture into Ruby's bedsit or Mel's house.

Whitney's flat was above Max and Tanya's old place. Where is it now?

Marsh. 03-01-2019 09:42 PM

Yeah, I think it's the same flat.

But why would millionaire Ruby be living in a tiny bedsit and not a swish pad?

I just figured she was hiding herself away or something. But nothing has come up about that story in a while, last we heard she was on her way to court and that was weeks ago.

Josy 04-01-2019 06:03 PM

In the minority but I think Kate Oates is ****e

Josy 04-01-2019 06:03 PM

Yeah last I remember was Stacey coming to hide the kid's presents in hers and Ruby was sleeping in a pile of filth.

I stopped watching Corrie during her time. Not necessarily because of her, but it didn't convince me to keep watching.

Denver 04-01-2019 07:19 PM

I think Kate is massively risky especially if you just does the same storylines as she has in the past

Well you're on a road to disappointment if you expect her to do anything massively original anyway.

Soap staples are a selection of stories that rarely change.

The biggest problem is EE has forgotten how to tell hem properly and effectively. Take Kat/Alfie and Mel/Ray over Christmas. Two big soapy plots that should work. But sloppy writing, poor plotting, weak charaterisation and repeating the same stories with the same characters is the issue.

Those are the types of things Kate needs to fix. She can dream up all the big and explosive stories she wants but if it's still being executed the way the last few years have it won't make a difference. It's the way they plot, write and tell the stories that needs a lot of work.

No it was Mel hearing a flashback of the gunshot when the glass smashed

Marsh. 04-01-2019 08:15 PM

Why does everyone think Hunter fired the gun. :skull:

The glass smashed, which triggered some kind of flashback to the gunshot for Mel showing how shaken she is by the entire ordeal.

Screaming at the facebook parade convinced he's dead too

Ashley. 04-01-2019 08:45 PM

Yeah Hunter definitely didn't shoot himself. :joker: The scene at the end was just a twist on the storyline to show that Hunter wasn't as remorseful as he made himself out to be. I quite liked that.

I actually enjoyed Stuart as a villain at first but if he has a part to play in Harold's death then he can leave!

Marsh. 04-01-2019 08:47 PM

Who the fookin ell is Harold? This aint Neighbours!

Josy 04-01-2019 08:58 PM

If Stuart does anything to doctor legg I'll crack :fist:

Ashley. 04-01-2019 09:03 PM

What does Stuart want with Dot, anyway? I can't tell for the life of me what his motives are unless I've missed something integral.

Firewire 04-01-2019 10:20 PM

"That is really rude... but true"

Kat makes me HOWL

Denver 05-01-2019 01:00 AM

Hunter is gonna be a serial killer??

Rob! 05-01-2019 01:54 PM

Howling at all Stuart’s scars on his head from all the different head injuries

Hm, I can see him using the gun as a shield more than a weapon. And I think he was mostly glad to be able to get away with it (for now), and that Mel would do anything to keep him out of prison.

Marsh. 05-01-2019 09:35 PM

I think Jack's gonna start hanging around Mel again, then Hunter and him are going to get into another confrontation where Hunter then pulls the gun out and threatens him. Which will then lead to Jack discovering what happened...

Spoiler:

and then that fits with the spoiler pictures of Jack having Hunter arrested and Mel kicking off.

Denver 06-01-2019 01:02 AM

Hunter has been written out

Seems like he was axed

Denver 06-01-2019 01:03 AM

I an guessing Mel was originally gonna take the blame? Hence why she was meant to be written out but decided to stay

Marsh. 06-01-2019 01:08 AM

I don't think she was "meant to be written out". Sounds like Tamzin Outhwaite just intended to do a year but is enjoying it so much she's been convinced to stay on.

Ashley. 06-01-2019 01:16 AM

They wouldn't write out Mel. :joker: She was probably going to leave around the same time as Hunter (let's face it, he was never staying more than a year).
