...I think that reality TV people are a different type of celebrity in how we feel about them because we can so easily ourselves relate to them also...in that they go into the house as regular people...and as they begin their personal journeys in BB, we’re with them for every step of that journey...through the good, the bad, the drama and trauma and the ugly, type thing...so it’s very easy to feel that you actually know them because they become such a huge part of our lives and have so often defined our summers..and BB housemates more than other reality TV show, I think...because that show was Big Mother of reality tv to most of us...it was THE show and the reason that so many of us are here and have also bonded in our own house/forum.......so there are a huge amount of layers to our emotions and us feeling this loss of Nikki so deeply...and for you, there’s obviously an added layer, Cal...of Nikki being your all time most loved housemate of all and someone you greatly admired and were inspired by.....and it is heart breaking how much she must have struggled and that she lost her battle to be able to not hurt anymore....but although she did heart wrenchingly lose that battle, she won everyone’s heart...we all don’t agree on many housemates but with Nikki we did...she really was most loved........

This news has honestly broken my heart. Nikki was an Angel and such a joy to watch. Always full of energy and hilarious without even trying. I’m going to miss how adorable and expressive she was, and I’ll miss the love she had for BB and it’s fans. I’ll honestly miss her so much and I pray that wherever she is she’s at peace now ❤️❤️❤️

I’m glad she at least got to hear the huge amount of support she received for her go-fund me

Still in shock about this can't get my head round it. I thought she would have got better

Jake. 11-04-2021 03:36 PM

The dms between her & Grace </3

It’s heart wrenching seeing her tell Grace not to worry / that she’d be ok

GiRTh 11-04-2021 03:48 PM

So tragic to die so young.

Its very nice to see many people like Davina expressing their sorrow , i think we are all having to take time for it to really sink in, but its nice to see pcitures of better times for her being shown on the news.

*mazedsalv** 11-04-2021 06:36 PM

I am gutted, so young.

When i saw her picture of her and Pete on his Instagram a couple months ago, i had a bad feeling just from that. And then the Gofund me came a bit later.

I just wish she could have had the help she needed. Obviously she has suffered with anorexia for over 2 decades, but lockdown must have really damaged her.

RIP Nikki :(

Braden 11-04-2021 10:56 PM

I can’t stop thinking about Nikki’s passing.

Some people have mentioned that Big Brother was a haven for her, and it adds to the show's legacy that it protected someone so vulnerable the way it did. There’s a lot of negativity surrounding the nature of reality tv these days, and rightfully so. However, Nikki’s passing has shed light on the fact that Big Brother was a beacon of hope for her, and she always thrived in the environment.

Rest in peace. She’ll never be forgotten.

I completely agree with every word Ammi  She was the ultimate housemate. I think I will be heartbroken for a long time but the fact she got to see how adored she was before she passed via the success of the gofundme and everybody’s messages is a comfort. I will love and miss her with all my heart and I hope she truly rests in peace. Goodnight, god bless Nikki. Love you all

GMBHD itv
Entertainment Reporter spoke with Niki in 2020
on a Zoom screen
and had a Clip
she looked happy
said she would love to meet Pete
in Brighton or wherever he lives now

Amy Jade 12-04-2021 09:04 AM

Really sad she only got a passing mention on GMB when her story is so relevant and concerning mental health and covid.

instead that old man gets more coverage, who was on deaths door for god knows how many years whilst sponging off the state.

Amy Jade 12-04-2021 10:13 AM

Again just a passing mention on This Morning in reference to BMI and very scripted few words from Dermot when he hosted BBLB and both Alison and Josie are ex housemates.

So disappointed.

She really did love Big Brother, she auditioned for BB3.

GoldHeart 13-04-2021 01:20 AM

Tragic sad news
The last image I saw of her was a BB reunion on zoom I think ?, she looked very ill and frail .

She'd been battling Anorexia for so long.

Wow only just seen this image , things didn't look good for her atall . She looked so weak and poorly.

Only 38 aswell , too young .
Why did she have to rely on fundraising? , it's sad she didn't get more medical support .

It seems Covid and lockdown has caused more mental health, and more people to slip through the system.

The Fundraising changed nothing.
Yes Covid lockdown made her far worse.
She did not slip though the System
sadly she stopped eating enough.

Strictly Jake 13-04-2021 06:55 AM

I know covid and lockdown won't have helped the situation. But it actually started a lot earlier than this. Looking at her Instagram. 2018 she looks great but 2019 onwards you can tell that she's already suffering by that point. I just wish she had been able to get the proper help then!!

arista 13-04-2021 07:57 AM

Watch on ITV1+1

Pete was Live on GMBHD itv

at 8:30AM

They gave him a long time to talk
Well done ITV.

He Started Crying
and said he asked Kate Bush,
if she could do a ditty.

Dr. Hilary Spoke
giving Pete a chance to get back
They then concluded.

UserSince2005 13-04-2021 08:03 AM

Whys Pete talking, they weren't even close? If hes seen her 10 times since they broke up, a week after bb7, id be shocked.

When I saw him release his cry video a couple of days back I knew it was because he knew there was the opportunity for some day time tv shows coming up.

And what do you know, hes getting paid today.

He seems genuinely upset.
He said he visited Nikki before her death and how they reminisced about BB, he was her old boyfriend afterall.

I know they split up ages ago ,but it sounds like they were still friends despite not seeing eachother often. I assumed because of Covid that's probably why they saw less of eachother .

Well, he actually knew her, unlike anyone on this forum.

Sorry he doesn't meet your requirements for being affected by someone's death but you'll just have to ****ing deal with it.
