Just watched it....loved it.

GoldHeart 31-05-2021 06:54 PM

Awww i just finished watching the reunion, this is probably the last time we'll see them all together on set like that . Was nice to see them all reminiscing and watching old clips :) .

Matt Le Blanc always looked distinguished in his later years, but now i would say Lisa Kudrow has aged better gracefully the most out of them all .

But was good seeing all 6 of them meet up again, and you can tell they all still get along with eachother and have that love and respect . Whatever else they do in their careers, Friends will always have cherished memories for them all i'm sure .

Swan 31-05-2021 07:21 PM

I loved it, but i would have liked them to bring up the Joey series, see what the others thought of it etc..

It was awful, best to pretend it never happened.

And it's not even a proper episode from my understanding? I want to keep the magic of what it was rather than them explaining what it was etc I love the way the show ended and it doesn't happen to me often (hi Lost!) so I would like to keep it the way it is.

Yeah just like I expected it I hated it. Should not have watched it at all but I listened to my husband  I wish it was a complete "what happened to them since" episode and not some catch up with random celebrities and interviews.
The last episode was just fine and a perfect ending so I will try to not remember this...attempt at whatever this was. I mean I understand the actors need to work or try to secure a bag of dollars thanks to the fame Friends brought them, but really this reunion special wasn't necessary.

Aw, did you really hate it? I thought they did it so well, they didn't try to make it anything other than a reminiscence.

As Lisa Kudrow said, it's nice they didn't make an episode as it wouldn't really have worked but what they did, I thought was good.

This was Amazing

I don't understand this "the last episode was just fine and a perfect ending". It's still the ending. This wasn't an episode. Just a reunion of the cast and crew.

I ain't gonna watch it, the tit bits have been enough for me to not want to see them how they look now compared to then.

I have a friend who is editing all of Rachael's appearances though, luckily she still looks like how she used to

Ross though, omg, no.

He looks like a melting oak tree.

I'm not a fan of those coming back episodes or going back to what it used to be or provide explanations or whatever they felt it was. It blurs the ending to me as I am fine with the way it ended and this episode didn't add anything to the whole series. It's time to let it go and not coming back to it another time in 10 yearqs (which they probably will, I hope not)

That’s not what this was though. It was a reunion of the main cast and some of the crew, with them discussing everything about their time on the show. It didn’t try to add anything else to the ending.

It’s a good job that no one worries so much about how people look then. Unless you’re a fan of friends then there’s very little point to watching anyway.

rusticgal 01-06-2021 11:09 PM

I think it was done very tastefully...it was a simple reunion and how it all came about...how the characters and actors were put together...and a trip down memory lane. They didn’t want to do anything that could have an impact on a hugely successful and much loved show.
I thought it was just brilliant.

…yeah, I can totally understand what you’re saying as well…for me, though…?…watching the episode actually added to it, it gave me something that I didn’t have before…because for me, in my life…?…it was just an excellent series, a much loved series and characters etc…but listening to other perspectives and other meanings from fans all over the world and what the Friends meant to them in their entirely different lives…takes it into something completely different../…how the characters really did become and feel like friends and comforts and how they inspired…very moving, very touching and something that added to that final wrap…but yeah I do understand what you feel as well…

bots 02-06-2021 08:59 AM

the reunion show did nothing for me, but if others enjoyed it ... great.

It did make me dip my toes back into the show again though and it's still very funny after all these years

Denver 02-06-2021 09:05 AM

It was emotional especially seeing people who I thought totally put the show behind them break down in tears

... again, it was the cast and crew sharing memories of what it was like to WORK on the show. It didn't add anything to the show or change the ending, and it was never supposed to.

Omg, you mean 6 humans have aged and look older than they did 17 years ago???

HORRIFYING.

The Matt Le Blanc is Irish memes since the show are amazing

I think some have aged better than others , but I just enjoyed seeing them all together. And like you say it has been 17 years , how strange how fast it's gone by.

My only criticism of the reunion was James Corden being the host and you can tell other extra bits were added in more for padding, like David Beckham etc lol.

But overall I liked it , It was fun seeing them reminisce with old clips and the script readings lol.

And they obviously still get on with eachother. We could have had more guest appearances of other friends co stars ,but maybe they were unavailable.

We still got the Gellar parents which was nice , and Gunther and Janice.

Crimson Dynamo 02-06-2021 03:47 PM

Well I enjoyed it

:hmph:

Marsh I'm not sure why you're arguing with me about this? Can I just dislike a show and be at peace? damn :skull:

i'm with you captain. Not liking the reunion gig doesn't change opinions on the series

To me it looked like it
And to me, whatever their goal with it was, it didn’t add anything and I disliked it. I just don’t like reunions in general.

AnnieK 02-06-2021 05:32 PM

I didn't look at it as an extension to the show or anything, I just looked at it as a separate show that starred the people who were in a show that was a massive part of my youth.

I get some people won't have enjoyed it....but I did

That's fine. My response was only based on you saying they should leave the show alone and not add anything that will change how well it ended.

The cast getting together to talk about it is none of those things.

Well to me them coming back even to talk about it is not leaving the show alone. I didn’t need it, It didn’t bring anything special to me, it wasn’t necessary to me.
No more special episodes, actors gathering or whatever. Time to let it go.

It’s one reunion in 17 years, I’m trying to get your point here but I just can’t?

Glenn. 02-06-2021 07:55 PM

It was literally an interview and behind the scenes look at a still very popular show…

i say we ban all repeats of the show and eradicate it from you tube

the show is over

LET THAT BE AN END TO THIS

MTVN 02-06-2021 09:29 PM

Only seen the first 20 minutes so far but Matt Leblanc really stands out as the happiest and most natural back in front of the camera and the Friends environment, the others all come across quite nervous
