I hope you have leaned not to drop litter again!
I won't intentionally, and I didn't before this anyway. Just if its more convenient to drop it than it is to find a bin. But usually its the other way around.

And a lot of litter is paper based which is biodegradable.
But the Coke can you drop wont degrade for a long time.
It will after about 3 years, by then it will have been picked up

anywho, I am sure most of use do what we can, more bins would help though
Biodegrade in to what?
Coke can's can make the soil toxic  (But only slightly) I just read.
dust, I have seen it picked up and old rusty Coke can, turned to dust in my hand

And the earths resources - gone. Dust.
The only resources that are running out are fuel

and scientists are developing a salt water engine as Salt water is all over

God!
Drain somewhere else of its natural resources or try and make the most of what we have by recycling.

Um.... Drain somewhere else!

What will we do next?

~Kizwiz~ 22-02-2008 04:26 PM

I agree that some people wil dump rubbish at times but it still doesnt make it right.

The cold milkshake thing....well its understandable but I personally wouldn't do it.

Everyone has a right to drop litter yes, but its also my right to say its wrong and slightly selfish to expect others to pick up after you

Well that's a pathetic attitude if ever I've heard one.

There's neglecting to put your rubbish in the bin, but proactively seeking to drop it where you like is frankly pathetic.

Magic 22-02-2008 04:28 PM

Sort of taking us back to the start, their is flytipping in my area, is that happening to anyone else?

Dr43%er 22-02-2008 04:32 PM

Ok, a few points, sorry but I can't remember who said what.

Was it Tom. Re the can in your garden. There hands may have got so cold they have to throw it now and can't wait till the next bin. Are you happy for your garden to become a dumping ground?

You say your hand are becoming fuller as you buy more. So you must be going in shops. I have never found a shop yet that does not have a bin. Most will be happy for you to use it.

Ok, it's -8. You have no gloves as you don't like them. It has got to the point your hands are so cold that you can no longer hold on to the heavy clumsy can. Where do you find the will and strength to hold on to your bags? I am impressed.

To the person who said metal degrades. Let me know where you live as I have an old banger of a car I need to get rid of. Will your garden do? Don't worry, it will degrade in time.

With regards to not telling people what to do. If you drop it round my house or work I will tell you what to do. I have before now picked up other peoples crap and forced it back on them. If you want to live and work in a slum then fine, drop your **** where you live and work. Not where I do.

I dont agree with fly tipping

Shaun 22-02-2008 04:36 PM

I agree with everything Dr43%er says.

Callum 22-02-2008 04:36 PM

Kizwiz I can also have my own opinion!!!!!!!

Good points:thumbs:

But there is a big difference between a car and a can (plus I dont have a back garden:tongue:)

As I have said. If you want to live in a **** hole that is up to you. Forcing other people to live in **** who may not want to is *****. In my opinion of course.

Callum 22-02-2008 04:43 PM

Dr%er there is no bins around by me! So why should I have to trek about 6 miles to find the nearest bin?!

Dr43%er 22-02-2008 04:45 PM

You are saying there are no bins near you home. Am I correct in thinking that?

You've not to worry about KizWiz and Magic. If I were you I'd be more concerned about whether the police or community support officers see you - and for the sake of cleanliness and hygiene, I hope to god they do see you.

Now then Lauren I am not the only one who drops litter, but I have a right to. I bet the police themselves even drop litter as the lack of bins.

I didn't say you were the only one, and you don't have the right to drop litter - thats why there are controls and fines in place to prevent it.

Callum 22-02-2008 04:50 PM

MAGIC I AM NOT A TRAMP!!!! And my house has a bin but why would I want to carry litter with me all the way to my house?!

What are you going on about tramps for? I've seen tramps put rubbish in bins. They lack a home, not manners.

Dr43%er 22-02-2008 04:51 PM

Magic has jumped in to where I was going. If there are no bins near where you live, you are by your own admission near where you live. No need to do a 6 mile trip to find a bin. Take it home with you.

Pride in where I live? You try living in my area. Me trying to "save the area" is not going to trigger everybody else into doing the same, I know it's a scruffy thing to drop litter but the area is not going to change because the people in the area are not going to change so therefore, there is no point in me doing it. Yes, it's lazy, it's boneidle, it's scruffy, all of which I'm aware of and I know it shouldn't be done, and I wouldn't dream of doing it an area that was half decent but my area ... you are wondering when the next shooting will be, not the next snicker wrapper being threw.

And Magic, telling people what to do and talking down to them is not going to make them go all environmentally friendly.

I didn't mean that, but surely you managed to "trex" six miles from your house, can you not walk back with the litter?

I know its you, but you are typing in a diffrent style today, eg, lots of caps, now then, etc.

And why? Because you should want to protect the enviroment!

Callum 22-02-2008 04:53 PM

Well I'm not going to look a right plonker walking down the street with rubbish in my hand, ew! That's just filthy imo.

Where exactly did you grasp the concept that people have a right to drop litter?

Quite the opposite. It's illegal.

Ew at your ignorance!

Again, I have never heard you use words like plonker!

I'm really quite baffled that your whole argument centres around 'ew'. You eat out of something and are too lazy to abide to law in finding a bin. The 'ew' and 'filthy' thing, is throwing it on the ground and attracting rats. Thats what is disgusting.

Callum 22-02-2008 04:57 PM

I don't like eating much anyway, I'm not often seen eating outside my own house.
