So the Dad must have known his intentions as he stopped him getting into a taxi the previous week to go to the school he was expelled from to carry out a similar atrocity? why was he not sectioned at this point? I don't understand

Alice’s mother ‘hopes life is shortened so they can be together again’
A statement on behalf of Alice Da Silva Aguiar’s family has been read out.

Her parents said they “kept their hopes up every second during Alice’s 14-hour fight but once she had lost her fight, we lost our lives.”

They said that “the simple joys of life can no longer be enjoyed because it feels like there’s no point.”

The court heard that Alice’s mother “often thinks about going to meet her or hopes that life is shortened so they can be together
again.”

They said that “cooking brings out fear sometimes. Especially when [Alice’s mother] is holding a knife and the thought seems so tempting. We were used to cook for three but now only cook for two and it doesn’t seem right. Our only child. She was everything for us”.

Her mother is unable to go to the toilet at night without her husband there as she finds the dark so terrifying.

They continued: “Grief has taken away any sense of meaning we once had and replaced by constant numbness. It’s hard to feel happy, to enjoy the music and to see the good in life when the centre of our universe has been taken.

“Going out doesn’t feel as safe and any attempts to lighten up, a smile and a laugh are quickly met by regret and guilt. How can we ever smile if Alice is not here?”

Everyone was more concerned about the colour of skin and what country he came from than what he did.

People were correct to ask...wouldnt you agree?

Rudakubana sentenced to minimum of 52 years in prison

Mr Justice Goose said: “He will serve almost the whole of his life in custody. I consider it
likely he will never be released and he will be in custody for all of his life.”

It's good that he's unlikely to get released even late in his adult life.
It's not impossible with the age he is now.

52 years in total for 3 horrific murders of children who were defenceless.

Although he WILL have over his time now, a nightmare time in prison being a child killer.

he will be leaving in a body bag within a month, with any luck.

You would like to think so wouldnt you..unfortunatly that wont happen. He will be housed in a secure unit, with all the comforts of home. Protected 24/7.

Only thing he wont have is his freedom.

He'd probably be in the nonce wing for safety.

Child murderers including Urfan Sharif, Ian Huntley, Ian Brady, Rose West, Roy Whiting and more have all been attacked in prison by other inmates. Frankly I don't have a problem with it.
