As I believe, he was warned many times before receiving the actual infractions. he even got a couple of official warnings too. And chose to ignore them. What do you suggest we do in this situation? just keep warning and warning and warning? it was clear that no notice was being took, so that is why he got those infractions.

Yeah whenever anyone complains about moderating decisions even if they have PM'ed staff with or without receiving a reply they are pretty much automatically infracted for causing drama, its a good coverall.

Yes, if they complain on the forum, they usually do receive an infraction. As 9 times out of 10, they havent PMed any member of staff, and are just trying to cause a scene. Even if they have Pmed someone about it, we are not robots, we are not online 24 hours a day...and its hardly an really urgent matter getting an infraction reversed.

Its a question of having dealt with drama putting it to the side and moving on, life is exactly the same, you will become embittered if you always dwell on past battles and view everyone with suspicion.

We do deal with it and move on. But usually thats sometimes quite hard to do, as the person in question throws it in our faces sometimes even MONTHS afterwards :)

Look at the circumstances of those infractions.
What else can people do if they cant see Mods active on the forum? They know some mods are there but because the mods are "invisible" ro non staff they cant PM so they get fustrated and feel they have to post on the forum.
|
Again, getting an infraction reversed is not an urgent thing. I fail to see how someone would become so frustrated about it that they have an uncontrollable urge to post on the forum about it. Knowing full well they are chance to get another because of this.
Then again, if you cause drama over it, and get another infraction...it gives you more ammo to start more drama later on doesnt it.

Yes I think you are misreading the forum, there may be less of those you view as troublemakers posting on the forums. The cliques are still there, it may just be because one of the group of cliques has staff as members.
|
Again :laugh2:
Funny how barely anyone else has noticed a 'clique problem' isnt it.
Staff interact with all members. We do not ignore anyone. However, if people go out of their way to ignore us, then we will stop making the effort to speak to them...surely that is fair comment right?

Just like a couple of nights ago another member even stated that people had deliberately ganged up against someone who recently copped for a ban.

Erm, if this is about the smithy thing, he did NOT receive a warning. He got an infraction, I gave it myself, and have also just checked on his profile to make sure I am definitely right. When he said he got a warning, he was obviously attempting to wind people up. Though no doubt you will not take my word for that...so ask any other mod/admin you like. It WAS an infraction.

Funny how that comment and a few others were deleted, but not by the member posting it, aint it. Of course there is no conspiracy but lets face it staff here dont like to be questioed or challenged on their decisions do they, thats at least an infraction isnt it?
|
Challenge away. But dont do it on the main forum.
The only reason people do it on the forum, is so that they have an audience. Someone said before that... 'Maybe a lot of people fear to get not treated fair when they doing it via PM, because they will not have any witness for what everyone has said'
If you feel a member of staff has said anything out of order to you via PM...you can report it, the same as you can report pms from members. There is no need whatsoever to have an audience, except for virtual backslaps, which quite frankly, is pathetic.
