The Heat 8/10

DrunkerThanMoses 30-08-2014 02:16 PM

The Caller (2011) - Started off too messy for my liking but actually turned out to be a decent horror. Ending was a bit crap but still a good middle hour of it was interesting - 4/5

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... I'm having a Harry Potter marathon.

Divergent did actually have quite a small budget, due to the old director. The next 3 films have been given a much bigger budget and has a new director (thank god) honestly, I liked the film because I'm such a huge fan of the books, but it can be a bit boring if you don't know the storyline already. Can't wait for Insurgent though.

The Inbetweeners 2 - 7/10

A good sequel and really funny. I'd read before watching that they didn't intend on making a third movie so I was hoping that there would be some kind of closure at the end, but there wasn't, so maybe there will be a third in the future some time.

Rain Man - 7/10

Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise were both great in this, definitely carried the film. A few funny moments but overall it's a serious film with a great message.

How I Live Now - 4/10

It was ok. Kind of like a not as good version of Atonement.

Pineapple Express - 6.5/10

James Franco steals the show in this. I thought it started to lose its way a little towards the end (but I think it was intentional) but overall a really funny film with a good storyline.

Zombieland - 6/10

Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenburg as a duo surprisingly works really well, and even Emma Stone was bearable for once. Needs a sequel really.

I Know What You Did Last Summer - 1/10

A contender for worst film I've ever seen.

Filth - 7.5/10

Where to even start... Amazing performance from McAvoy, probably the best of his career so far. I didn't see that twist coming towards the end at all. Loved how unpredictable it was and how it took so many risks that most filmmakers wouldn't even think of making.

Death sentence, Kevin Bacon. He never disappoints me. Such an underrated actor.

..The Breakfast Club..because it was on TV..9/10...

Niamh. 01-09-2014 09:14 AM

Lucy - I was really looking forward to seeing this but it was a bit disappointing in the end 5/10

Z 01-09-2014 11:38 AM

The Skeleton Key - 5/10, it was alright. It was a thriller, so this rating probably puts it at the top end of the scale in terms of thriller films, haha.

It was pretty creepy but I think Kate Hudson's a pretty bland actress which sort of ruined it for me because it's such a small cast so the focus is entirely on the actors. The elderly couple were both played really well though.

Alyce Kills (2011) - Not sure what to think of this, it took a while to get into it but the last half hour was amazing and had a very May/American Mary feel to it. Sadly the first half of the movie was kinda boring - 3/5

Ammi 03-09-2014 07:40 PM

..Mrs Doubtfire..10/10...

Z 04-09-2014 09:11 AM

Clueless - I can't rate it because I started welling up whenever Brittany Murphy's character smiled in the film LOL... rest in peace xx

Tom4784 05-09-2014 04:41 PM

The Purge AKA Stupid Rich Kid makes Bad Decisions for 90 Minutes.

It was dumb, predictable and pretentious. Lena Headey deserves better.

2/10.

andybigbro 05-09-2014 05:13 PM

I love you, Man
7/10

Ammi 08-09-2014 02:56 AM

Josy 08-09-2014 10:59 AM

Abduction - 6/10

Niamh. 08-09-2014 11:01 AM

Road Trip - Hadn't seen it in years such a funny movie 8/10
The Heartbreak Kid - It was amusing 6.5/10

Marc 08-09-2014 11:02 AM

We Are The Millers - 8/10; pretty funny, decent story line, easy to follow

Smithy 08-09-2014 04:57 PM

Maleficent - ****ing awful, it could have been brilliant but clearly they were worried about what a dark film would have done to their box office gross 2/10 :umm2:

X Men: Days of Future Past - I was a bit confused as to how Xavier was even alive, and the lack of some of the original cast members, but aside from that it was really good 8/10

Marc 08-09-2014 10:17 PM

Employee of the Month - 7/10 I really didn't mind it. Easy to watch :D
Wreck-it-Ralph - 9/10 :amazed: YAAAAAAY
