the simple reality for a party leader is that they have to be liked by the press, if they are not, like penny, then they stand no chance of being a success. For me, Sunak was always the only one that stood half a chance of being successful. I still think this leadership contest isa waste of time as the tories will be out at the next election. You're all missing the point. It's a contest between Murdoch and Dacre, and Truss is the Dacre candidate. No one else, especially tory members, really matters in the televised sh1tshow.
