the glazers are just the money men. It's the board that set the strategy for the club. Does anyone think the united board have performed any better than the everton board that got the boot?

Compare and contrast the difference between Postecoglou on Richarlison and Ten Hag on Sancho

"We've got to maintain a balance in life and even for him, he needs to understand his football is still good. He's a fantastic footballer," Postecoglou told BBC Sport.

"He's got so much to give and that can help ease the burden he's feeling in other parts of his life. I'm really pleased for him."

Ten Hag - i don't know if you will play for the team again

The Slim Reaper 16-09-2023 06:37 PM

That is a good point about his man management style. When you're building, I think you need to have a bit more tolerance to keep everyone on side. It's when you're at the top, it's easier to be zero tolerance.

The Slim Reaper 16-09-2023 06:40 PM

Neville getting roasted.

bots 16-09-2023 06:58 PM

Neville lost all credibility a long time ago

I'd agree with this but Arteta when he took charge of Arsenal was quite the opposite. To the point where it alienated alot of fans, me included. The times I went on about Ghendouzi being exiled on here  Also, remember Saliba almost had a similar fate after he made a comment on social media about not playing

The Arsenal squad as it stands is now Artetas. Mohamed Elneny is the only player who has survived the Arteta cull but I dont see him playing many games TBH. Every other player from before Arteta has been sold or is to be sold. Even the likes of Kieran Tierney who Im a fan of. Man Utd needs something similar and with Ten Haag getting rid of Ronaldo we thought it was going to happen. Now we can see that Ten Haags methods are not what we thought and unlike Arteta he still has to prove that he can coach a style of play that get Man U up the table or is exciting for the fans. To date I dont see that hes such a great a coach or manager

EDIT: Before some clever clogs comes along to say - What about Saka, Martinelli, Smith-Rowe. They were all on youth teeam contracts when Arteta took over so dont count

In all seriousness who remembers Micah Richards a few seasons ago saying that "Leicester just defended for most of the game" after beating Man City 5-2 at the Etihad? It had to be one of the most bitter meltdowns that I've seen him give.:joker:

Agree. The problem at Man U is the players. Like Spurs, and Arsenal to a lesser extent, they need someone to come in with a complete change of culture., We thought Ten Haag was that guy but the same old poor attitude that got the previous managers sacked has resurfaced.

I honestly believe that nobody can get these particular group of players at Man Utd to behave like respectful adults.

He’s a fabulous manager but I find City so predictable

I’ve just watched Barcelona who are still a team in progress just play brilliant, creative football .. Felix , Cancelo and Gündoğan all allowed to play with freedom

Tbf Spanish teams always pride themselves on playing entertaining Football, their fans demand it.

I do agree with you though that Man City are boring to watch.

i've seen him make a lot of saves. He doesn't save shots in the traditional way though, he more gets his body in the way than cleanly taking the ball, which doesn't give a warm fuzzy feeling

Also, one needs to remember that teams are just blasting through the united midfield at the moment, which makes the defence and goalkeeper look much worse than they really are

Mystic Mock 17-09-2023 02:55 AM

Onana on the third goal was horrendous imo.

Dalot looked in no Maguire's land for the first goal though.

And in the Blues game Ruddy and Buchanan want to be careful, Ruddy for the first goal had the pace of a snail, and Buchanan forgot that you can have the opposition player's shirt after the final whistle, not during the match.:joker:

Being fair to Blues though, we have had a very good start to the season, and Ruddy and Buchanan are overall good players (especially for the Championship) I just don't want us creeping back into bad habits as the sending off robbed us of a really good point yesterday.

And with Man Utd, tbf Brighton will give anyone a game (including Man City) so maybe Man Utd will do better in the next game.

Swan 17-09-2023 01:40 PM

Same old bollocks, Chelsea have chances, can't put them away. I really thought Jackson was gonna be our saviour for the goals this time round after a great pre-season, but nope.

Swan 17-09-2023 02:11 PM

That was seriously close.
