The characterisation of Lynsey since she returned has been weak, for a start she hasn't been used much so far and was underused until now, Karen Hassan is good though:). Lynsey was much better when she appeared that year in HO Later with Kris!

The new headteacher of Hollyoaks High is...
Spoiler:

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukp...28658A&size=s2

Peter Mitchell is set to join the cast of Hollyoaks.

The paraplegic actor, who appeared in Channel 4's disability-themed mockumentary Cast Offs, is to play Hollyoaks High's new headteacher, Pete.

Peter's alter-ego, who will make his screen debut later this month, comes with a bit of a back story, to be revealed in due course, and is also linked to notorious bad boy Brendan Brady (Emmett J Scanlan).

A show spokeswoman said: "Peter will play Pete in the show. He's the new headteacher and he's got a history. He knows Brendan but we don't yet know how."

Peter, from Northern Ireland, has used a wheelchair since 2002, when he lost the ability to walk after a car crash.

His appearance will be welcome at Hollyoaks High, who have been without a headteacher since Rob O'Connor left the village.

Lynsey tonight

And shush Scott, she doesn't like you either :bored:

Jorgie Porter interview:).

'Conor 06-02-2011 08:13 PM

its really kind of meh at the moment..

Need more: Amy, Tony, Mandy, Lee, Leanne, Darren, Nancy, Jason, Silas.

Less: Brendan, Mitzeee, Doug, Texas, Melody, Ruby, Ricky.

I do like Brendan but his character i think is being used too often, i think there should be 2 weeks where Brendan isnt in the lime light

DrunkerThanMoses 07-02-2011 09:09 AM

Bredan is a terrible charater.

I dont mind ruby, shes nt a bad actress, shes needs a good storyline I think.

InOne 07-02-2011 11:12 AM

I agree with Brenden, he's becoming involved in everything. And yeah, can only put up with Texas and co for too long.

bbfan1991 07-02-2011 06:06 PM

Brendan will probably not appear for a while soon whilst focus is on other characters.

This Gilly/Lynsey thing is forced:(, shame they're doing this to Lynsey as she does have a lot of potential. The show also has a new Casting Director now, hopefully they choose better actors who can act:p.

'Conor 07-02-2011 06:35 PM

i just hope there is not that many new characters this year

InOne 07-02-2011 06:35 PM

Seems ok at the moment, hopefully they will gel a bit more as their relationship blossoms kinda thing.

And they really need to sort out the previously bits music out. In never goes with any of the scenes they show and just looks stupid

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 07-02-2011 06:36 PM

just finished watching e4

this week gonna be epic :amazed:

InOne 07-02-2011 06:38 PM

We had to see Liberty though :bored:

bbfan1991 07-02-2011 06:40 PM

Has anyone else noticed that the editing seems to be more consistent now?:)

InOne 07-02-2011 06:42 PM

Yeah it's a bit better. Now casting needs to be sorted :nono:

Rob 07-02-2011 06:42 PM

Yeah, i think there been some changes behind the scenes, proabably just playing around with what works and what doesn't

Well the person who claimed on DS that there would be some departures were right and they say that Liberty could be one of the announced departures:D, she's being set up to be Silas victim for sure!

Tom4784 07-02-2011 06:47 PM

I...I think I'm....warming up to Ethan.... Liberty needs to get the axe, hopefully from Silas.

I really do think thats a certainty, he'll get a kick out of killing a policeman's fiancee and remaing one step ahead of the law whilst trying to keep that cool facade he puts on;).

Ethan is alright but I would have casted Logan over him, so far the characterisation of Ethan has been pants...

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 07-02-2011 06:52 PM

does anybody else hate noah? O_________O

'Conor 07-02-2011 07:45 PM

yeah i dont like Noah, too camp

DrunkerThanMoses 07-02-2011 10:31 PM

Noah is annyoing, hes going to be involved with another boring pointless character ste.

I wish I was producer of the show, I would axe half of these pointless characters.

Im finding myslef watching it less and less lately, might give up all together, not many storylines are gripping me :(

InOne 08-02-2011 10:28 AM

They need to sort out the music in places still too. They use that "emotional" music too much, sometimes for the wrong scenes, and sometimes it just kills scenes.

They need to start using Ste a bit less too.

Tom4784 08-02-2011 02:17 PM

Noah...I don't really care about either way. The whole Ste & Brendan storyline is tedious, they're just trying re-enact the success of the John Paul storyline and it's not working.

InOne 08-02-2011 04:39 PM

No chemistry between them at all

bbfan1991 08-02-2011 05:10 PM

More silly rumours from Twitter that Hollyoaks is being axed:rolleyes:, at least an offical source denied it a few weeks ago.

I like the Brendan/Ste thing but I wasn't convinced by Ste becoming gay all of a sudden:nono:.

InOne 08-02-2011 07:22 PM

Realistically, when Theresa saw Kyle, she would've screamed that tiny square down lol

They've been doing this for a year now. Enough's enough.
Probably why Marquess was axed, kept changing his mind and wasn't settling the show down. Changing the cast constantly.

I agree. Craig and John Paul story was overrated as it was yet they're trying to re-enact it with an over actor and an under actor who have no screen chemistry whatsoever, nevermind sexual. I've sensed more homo erotica from Brendan and Warren scenes.

That story is bugging me aswell. Too disjointed, far fetched and annoying.
Jorgie Porter impressed me in the murder aftermath with her acting, but she's been really bad for a while.

And who's this new headmaster? Yet another 12 year old playing an adult. Is this Bugsy Malone or what.

Theresa's mum needs to be axed, the OConnors, Costellos and Mitzeee need a good storyline done properly.
And give the rest of the McQueen's a break. Then give them something fresh, especially Mercedes she's always doing some variant of the same storyline. Maybe they need to move house or some of them leave home again.

InOne 08-02-2011 07:46 PM

I know, they always used to have people loads older and that looked the part. The guy who plays Ethan is probs the right age, but it's hard to believe someone like Theresa would be into him in real life lol

InOne 08-02-2011 07:47 PM

They need to sort Frankie's zoo out as well. That house must be massive lol

That doesn't make sense either. A random girl who says she's her grand-daughter and now she's living with them normally as if she's always been there.
Who's daughter is she exactly?

I suspect they'll probably have Frankie make her the new Steph in her life.

I was so dodgy and random, Frankie had a son who she thought was dead and then it tunred out he had died like 2 weeks ago or something, but her parents had given him up for something cos she was 16 at the time :S

So they got all of that over in like 15mins and just slotted her right in. But there is like Tom, Duncan, Esther, Ruby, Jack, and Frankie all living there. (Don't even know what Duncan and Ruby have to with them and why they'd support some random kids)

Used to love The Deans back in the day as well :(

Marsh. 08-02-2011 08:27 PM

So they thought the only way to keep Frankie in the show was to dump a load of orphans on her. Was Tom and Jack not enough? lol

'Conor 08-02-2011 09:00 PM

Well its been announced that James Sutton has quit his role as Ryan Lamb in Emmerdale and will be departing in early Summer, does any one thing he will return to Hollyoaks as John Paul?

Marsh. 08-02-2011 09:29 PM

I thought him and his mother were axed. Makes sense, nothing left for them.

I read he's going back to theatre. But he'll be back at Hollyoaks within two years IMO.
When the money's running low.

Bit like Sarah Jayne Dunn, seems she pops back every now and then when the bank balance needs topping up.

InOne 08-02-2011 09:33 PM

It could be quite good cos at times it's decent to watch. Think it was just left so much in a mess before it's gonna take a bit of time. It's just the acting and the storylines need tweeking up a bit.

InOne 09-02-2011 05:34 PM

I still think it's unrealistic how none of them smoke. I know it's on at 6:30 but they used to have smokers in it. I'd expect Warren, Brenden, most of the McQueens, some of the students to smoke. Would be good if they had a storyline showing the tweens getting into it, the whole peer pressure thing

Beastie 09-02-2011 05:41 PM

I have it on now. It's becoming even more shocking than Doctors and that's say something!

bbfan1991 09-02-2011 06:51 PM

Wow that E4 episode was really good:), Jorgie Porter was the stand out for me.

New spoilers out...

http://www.waveguide.co.uk/hollyoaks.htm

InOne 09-02-2011 07:17 PM

E4 ep was good I thought! Especially the end bit. Although was a little dissapointed that the drop was so small and Ethan didn't die
