BOTS increased to 501k (5.7%).

Wow nearly a 10% share....hopefully armageddon delivers some viewers

Samm 11-07-2014 11:54 AM

Brilliant, How much did BB10s ratings go up when they added new housemates

Will. 11-07-2014 12:46 PM

Fantastic rating and great share, high hopes for the eviction the tonight!!

Brother Leon 11-07-2014 12:47 PM

That was a very sudden jump. Nice.

Will. 11-07-2014 12:54 PM

Does that include +1

Kai Anders 11-07-2014 01:06 PM

WOW! Excellent ratings!! A 9% share is fantastic for the channel and totally deserved! It's quite funny.. we've all been complaining the show needs more fun and less fire.. last night's episode was perhaps one of the most positive of the series and the ratings delivered! Although it's unlikely to be the reason for high ratings.. lets hope the producers understand we like fun more than arguments! I wonder what caused such a massive increase? Hopefully Sunday's final of the World Cup won't hamper Armageddon ratings!

Jarrod 11-07-2014 01:11 PM

I recon the ratings will steadily climb as we head into Armageddon.

Kai Anders 11-07-2014 01:13 PM

Is that an entirely accurate rating?? As it does include +1 but the share is 9.4% altogether.

DS has this to say about C5 for the night.. seems fairly good, all prime-time shows above the average 4.0%!

'On Channel 5, Black Market Britain brought in 833k (4.3%). New show OAPs Behaving Badly was seen by 1.69m (8.5%) at 9pm (226k/1.4%), while Big Brother continued with 1.28m (8.1%) at 10pm (122k/1.3%).'

Despite a high rating it was beaten by BBC One and BBC Two.. and I imagine ITV.. however I'm not sure on the last one as 10pm ratings don't seem to have been released.. nonetheless.. excellent ratings for C5 and I imagine bosses would be very happy at the target audience percentage (18-35 year olds).. What young person is more likely to watch Question Time over BB!?

I hope so.. as much as I find this series a little boring.. it is deserved of it.. Fans always ask for twists that the show hasn't done. And this is something that hasn't been done before.. well for C5 anyway! Hopefully it'll stand up against the World Cup Finale well! I'm sure BBC Two and C4 will have terrible ratings that night!

Kai Anders 11-07-2014 01:15 PM

does anyone know if BOTS ratings improve or decrease as the host's change throughout the week.. I for one prefer Emma's presenting.. just curious!

Loukas 11-07-2014 01:19 PM

:hello:
i'm happy with that! Keep rising ratings!!!!

I thought the World cup finishes Friday and Armageddon starts Monday?

mrmattybeck1 12-07-2014 11:44 AM

Any ratings

Jake. 12-07-2014 11:46 AM

Still waiting

Samm 12-07-2014 11:48 AM

#bbuk & Keep Ashleigh were both trending on twitter last night

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 11:52 AM

Hmm.. Late release today.. I predict a slightly higher than normal Friday night rating after the previous days high! But who knows,

mrmattybeck1 12-07-2014 11:58 AM

Maybe barb are having a recount as its so high Lol

Rob! 12-07-2014 11:59 AM

I don't - from what I've seen last night was one of those nights where all the channels are down. :(
I would imagine the +1 rating was good though as news of the sex went around.

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 12:02 PM

So far.. In overnight data the series is currently at an average of 1.21 million. With a share of 6.3%! (Channel 5s current 2014 share is at 4.0%!) So if we want ratings to continue to improve, we need to hit above this target! Hopefully Armageddon will give it a mid-season push like the Daley Hazel situation last year!

Well with Steven anything's possible.

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 12:06 PM

LukeB 12-07-2014 12:08 PM

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 12:08 PM

Note, that's excluding +1 and nobody has reported on the share yet, sure we'll get both figures very soon!

That's not "fair" that's awful.

Jake. 12-07-2014 12:40 PM

Being up on last weeks is the only positive really

A disaster of a rating crushed

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 01:02 PM

I called it fair in relation to the fact it is well up on the previous evictions. The fact that is managed a figure of 1.3 million is commendable considering the negativity it's getting, which doesn't help with you lot!

daniel-lewis-1985 12-07-2014 01:03 PM

It came last in its slot.

Jamesy 12-07-2014 01:04 PM

It still got a 6.2% share last night so that is "fair".

Kai Anders 12-07-2014 01:05 PM

Still up on the hundreds of other channels! **positivity**

What negativity is effecting ratings?

Who are these negative people you keep talking about who have the power to effect ratings because the press aren't reporting them and im sure our opinions aren't to blame either.

that is fair! Like I always say.. if BB performs over C5s average share it's good. It's not always about beating competition, the fact that it sometimes does is just a plus! As long as it makes money.. which of course it makes some, it's good. Last night's was 2.2% over.. okay so it's not doubled.. but it's still fair!

If the ratings were so 'unfair' I'm sure C5 or producers would go to other lengths before cutting it completely like getting rid of several workers.. they've saved several thousands of pounds annually just like that.. perhaps the show is on even later at 11pm.. the guy in charge, Ben Frow did say, they won't just end the show and have nothing to follow up.. and with the Viacom switch I doubt they'd do it now.. or Channel 5 would well and truly be destroyed for good. He said there are still a few good years in it..

It's also worth noting that although this BB is well down on what it could achieve.. CBB was well up on what everything expected.. its much more likely they'd look at an annual figure of profit, rather than seasonal.. and i estimate this year, thanks to CBB is probably one of the best profitable years for the show since moving.. let's face it BB15 is on par with BB12 and BB13, but CBB is several 100K up on the other celebrity versions!
