There are 12 envelopes in there and you choose one. Eleven have a one-way ticket and the twelfth has a round-trip ticket. The envelopes get opened during your eviction interview and if you have the round-trip ticket you immediately reenter.

I MUCH prefer this twist, not here for Paul getting a Coup D'Etat or w/e.

And it's a unique way of doing a buyback as well

-There are 12 envelopes.

-Each house guest can pick 1. Only 1.

-The envelope holds a ticket, only one holds a “round-trip” ticket which will send the house guest back into the house after their eviction.

-The ticket can not be opened before the house-guest is evicted or it will be void.

-House guests cannot tamper with each others tickets.

-The ticket is to be read by Julie Chen at eviction.

He said he didn't know how many envelopes there were when the instructions said there are 12, he made something up about how you have to add up the flight times for the code when you just had to dial PARIS, and he was in general just very shady and sketchy and withholding information that was kinda pointless to withhold at that point. It was ridiculously transparent and he might as well have just told them everything at that point.
