Woooooooo hooooooooo!!
I'm finised my exams for this year! :blush2: Bring on the summer. |
Lucky you lot!
My revision advice probably isn't the best to follow... sometimes I work for 2 days before the exam doing around 6 hours of revision a day for about 2 subjects maximum. It makes me ill and I really need to sort that out. Anyway, good luck to those of you who still have exams. |
i have maths this week only so il be on this for quite a while! :D
my exams finish on the 15th. |
I've got a bunch of exams this week. Maths on Monday, English Tuesday, Science Wed, another English on Thursday, with French and History on Friday. At least once all of that is done with, I've only got 5 left over 2 weeks.
On the plus side, I only need 7% on the Science exam to even pass the bleedin' thing, 64% for an A*, which is way over my predicted grade of a B :D |
2 hour Maths exam tomorrow.
Please give out good thoughts at 1.30 thanks:kiss: |
^ Mines at 1:00pm, good luck!
I think I have welsh tomorrow, and I was helping my friend revise about an hour ago on MSN and then my stupid sister came and kicked me off. |

Do you know what you're doing after GCSEs? |
I feel for those of you having to take so MANY exams!
I'm going back to studying in October via the Open University and I have two children and I changed my daughter's school at Easter because A) she was unhappy at a place with 1800 pupils B) she was drifting and at a lower standard academically in over half of her subjects than when she started three years ago..and C) The school expected her to take between 10 and 11 GCSEs I was appalled with this and when we tried to talk to the school the school were unsupportive (as usual). We took her out and put her in a private school which costs us a small fortune and she's now taking 8 GCSEs. I'm so pleased I made that decision especially when I read what some of you are going through. It's too much revision and I've been helping her with her end of year revision over the half term and that is hard enough. I'm being a bit mumsy here but those who have someone to help them revise - USE THAT SOMEONE, Get lots of rest and don't sit up the night before worrying because if you don't know the answers then you never will. (Sorry if this is a repeat of what someone else has said but there are 42 pages and I have not read them all) :cheer:GOOD LUCK:cheer: |
Thanks wiglet!
I'm a last minute crammer as I said, I feel as if I can't work otherwise. It's a bad system but the main problem is that in some of my subjects I'm just not interested at all, which is why I can't wait till I go to University and actually do something I enjoy! Anyway, I just had my French... I'm doing it in bits so it was just an hour long. It was quite hard really, I don't really revise for French because it's a language and I feel there's not a lot to go over at all. Good luck to you people with exams this afternoon. |
Hope the French went well Ash!
My first exam is on Wednesday, it's an AS History re-take so I'm not as nervous as usual as I already got a C last time which isn't too bad. The killer is on Friday which is A2 History, arghhhhh :bored: |
Eek, good luck with those! I felt glad about not taking History when I saw the size of the folder some of my friends have to learn.
I've only got the hour of Statistics tomorrow, which isn't too bad - I'll have a look at bits and bobs tonight. I probably will have to re-take some modules next year, but rather than complain I'm just glad I've got another shot! |
Yeah the volume of work is quite vast in History but knowledge is only 50% of the battle, if that. Most of the marks are obtained through being able to analyse and evaluate facts and how far they contributed to a certain situation.
Yeah, count yourself lucky that you have another chance next year. This is my last chance! |
Biology exam :7 days to go !
French writing: 8 days to go ! Frenc oral: 21 days !!! |
