John Yorke surely must have been responsible for that episode?

Nice to see the show adding some humour. Tonight had it all; humour, drama, shocks and emotion. Great episode!

I think Disaster week was the first week filmed after Yorke took over the job. And over the next couple of weeks we'll see the first episodes which scripts he signed off on. So, yeah, I reckon he's had influence over what we're seeing now.

And then closer to Christmas we'll start getting more actual storylines he's managed to create.

Have a feeling that Christmas will be like 2009. The Carters kicked out of the Vic as the Wilmott Browns get it like the Mitchell's moving out when Archie and Janine got the pub

I can see that happening if James WB is murdered at New Year. Making it like Archie. I think he only had the Vic for a night before he died.

James Wilmott-Brown has done in like... 2 short scenes what Gavin pissing Sullivan could never do, be a proper villain. Creepy.

Vanessa 30-09-2017 08:37 PM

I'm liking Ben and Luke. They have chemistry. I just hope that Luke in't a psycho like his dad :worry:

Why did you do it?

I didn't mean to, he was making everyone unhappy...

Gillian Taylforth has said JWB is on the show for a while so looks like it will be a long term storyline

Marsh. 01-10-2017 04:07 PM

A while could be a few months. If it lasted until new year could be classed as a while.

Also, you never know what might happen with new management.

Remember Alfie's "three year MASSIVE story" that ended after 5 months ?

Tom4784 01-10-2017 04:15 PM

This whole Max storyline is just tedious and ridiculous. This is Eastenders, not Dynasty.
