50 moments? That'll be every major moment then considering I hardly think there's that many.

LOL when they did the voting, moments like the bridge collapsing in Half-Blood Prince were nominated, I don't even get how that's a major moment, it was just done for spectacle, nobody even died.

True. Like the random scene with the Burrow burning down just for a little extra action. Then in DH: Part 1 there's no mention of all their worldly possessions having been destroyed and the house looks the same.

That's another one I hated, made no sense at all. They wasted time on a stupid scene like that and instead they could have done another Riddle memory or have the scene where Dumbledore picks Harry up from the Dursley's.

Boothy 20-07-2011 06:55 PM

I think they should have split HBP into two films. It was far too involved for just one.

I agree, or they should have at least made it a bit longer and kept to the book more. The sixth film focused too much on romance and in the book that wasn't the main focus at all. The great thing about the book is that we find out more about Voldermort's past and they completely neglected this in the film. :(

Actually I think you will find the Burrow was undergoing work. Right at the begining before the titles rolled.

This is a random thought I've just had, but I swear in one book a Centaur was a teacher, yet in the films there hasn't been a single mention of it (well I can't remember)

Your right. Firenze. He turned one of the downstairs classroom's into a forest. He took over from Trelawny after Umbridge sacked her.

It was a good moment in the book. Umbridge lost, because Dumbledore undermined her, whilst sticking within her own limitations.

I wonder if, after Part II has been released on DVD, if they'll release both parts as just one big 5 hour film

King Gizzard 21-07-2011 12:15 AM

Of course they will, they'll milk it for all it's worth

It's funny how they release boxsets everytime a new film comes out and people actually buy it, just wait, or get the films seperately (i do the latter)

Ninastar 21-07-2011 12:16 AM

jesus I want to know now too

I thought about this the other day. I would prefer that. 7 DVD Cases to go with 7 Books. I'm weird like that :suspect:

My sister bought me the Year 1-6 boxset for my birthday and I bought DH:P1 a while later, I have got a friend that's obsessed and has like 2 or 3 different boxsets though. It is ridiculous.

The camera goes up the side of the house to reveal Ron stood a distance away.

There was a ladder and roof tiles missing.

Glenn. 21-07-2011 01:38 AM

I'm downloading all 8 soundtracks.
I never realised how beautiful some of the music in these films are.

Callum 21-07-2011 05:19 AM

I have all the soundtracks on CD, my favorite is probably Deathly Hallows Part 2 but I love Part 1 and Prisoner of Azkaban also. I think all the music for the films has been great though, Nicholas Hooper did a great job with OOTP and HBP, "Dumbledore's Army" is brilliant.

I think they will release the Ultimate editions in the UK soon. They have them in America where there's an extended version of the film, a new documentary for each film, which features interviews with the cast and unseen footage.

Marc 21-07-2011 05:30 AM

They should have made all the films 4 hours long and split them all into 6 parts!!

Ahhhhhhhh!!! D:

God. Your sister is so evil.. she knew that would happen.. I'd divorce her out of my family if I were you Dean.

I didn't think they handled the whole thing with Snape that well, his memories were all a bit rushed and they didn't seem to emphasise that much that he had been a "good guy" all along. I don't think they focused enough on characters aside from Harry enough either, and what's with them just locking every Slytherin in the Dungeon while the rest just fight and die.

Also how come Crabbe's been replaced by a random black guy?

:amazed: Did you go to Stroud? LOL!

I thought the black dude replacement was odd too!

Marc 21-07-2011 05:32 AM

I am posting a lot in one go, it's rather annoying isn't it?

I want to go see it again, but not when it's going to be really busy, I quite dislike most people in town in Stroud, they're all a bit freaky and weird.

King Gizzard 21-07-2011 05:46 AM

aww Ginny is nice looking I think

This day in 2007 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released in bookstores worldwide. How time flies, I remember being the first in line at my local supermarket to get a copy and watching the huge batches of books being opened at midnight following a countdown.
