:D I started looking for jaffa cake recipes online after Bake off yesterday. I was telling my nephew about the Jaffa Cakes, and he said less fiddly to make a large Jaffa Cake and cut it into slices rather than the small ones, and I might just try that, although think one of the contestants did their own version of a large Jaffa Cake in the final bake yesterday anyway.

The BBC must make an absolute mint on promoting certain cakes and biscuit brands through the show, sales of Jaffa Cakes must be through the roof for the next week.

Love love love this show. Now this really is reality tv at its best.

The Great British Bake Off attracted an average of 10.4 million viewers as it returned for a seventh series - a record opener for the BBC One show.

The episode was watched by 47.5% of all television viewers with a peak audience of 11.2 million at 20:50 BST.

That means it beat the most-watched moments of the Rio Olympics, which peaked at 11.1 million viewers.
