Arteta is like Southgate, Havertz is Maguire. Why is he trying so hard to shoehorn this player in to the team.

Just fresh legs … you’ve taken another physical battering today

And that's all Havertz is at this point, awful in the PL last season, and has already lost his starting 11 place with Arsenal 4 games in.

He might have been good in Germany Zizu, but he can't cut it in the PL.

I still think he will turn things around and be a great player for Arsenal .. Arteta’s record for improving players is amazing ..

Who thought that Xhaka were would turn just career around and play so well ( last season)

Some players just need to find the right team ..

Last night Felix was fantastic in his first game for Barca .. he looked a class apart

No doubt he will become a great player for Arsenal but its the length of time its taking for him to adjust to the team. As I have said before, for the money we spent on Havertz we could have got both Ward-Prowse and Maddison.

I hope, unlike Southgate, Arteta isnt perpared to die on this hill. So when I saw Havertz coming on say instead of a steadier player like Jorginho or a defender I think Arteta is trying too hard to get Havertz minutes.

GiRTh 17-09-2023 07:27 PM

Havertz is very much a conundrum and his presence may unbalance the team

Take Emile Smith-Rowe. He scored 10 league goals in the 21-22 season. Do you know who didnt score 10 league goals in the 21-22 season. If you guessed Havertz you guessed correct. He scored 8.

Now Smith-Rowe is probably 4th or 5th choice, still on a youth contract, while Havertz in the first choice and, I belevie, Arsenals highest paid player. If I were Smith-Rowe I would not be too happy about that.

This is wild. We only started trying in April. Obiously before today, so Arsenal go a point ahead of us, but jeez.

this is just incredible

there was no urgency about the Man U players, when they lost the ball, they just strolled about. They didn't press with any intensity to get the ball back. Or, to put it simply, they were lazy

I have no idea why he made Fernandes the captain !!!

Varane or Martinez would be my choices

I had such high hopes for Smith Rowe ( still do actually) … I’m sure he played really well for England under 21’s in that competition not too long ago

They lost 5:1 to Newcastle and 3:0 to Liverpool so they’re not doing that great ..

They’ve only beaten Burnley , Everton and Palace

And they were without March and Estupinan

BBC story headline

How can Pochettino get Chelsea firing again?

I would have thought that was simple, just lose a few more games

Swan 18-09-2023 02:31 PM

If we're out of contention for Europe by Christmas he'll be gone i reckon. Also, all the hype surrounding Mudryk, he is one of football's biggest flops ever.

bots 18-09-2023 02:41 PM

Most premier league managers don't manage to stay more than 18 months - 2 years in post which means that Ten Hag has probably got 6 months left before getting the boot. The players know this too

It’s crazy how desperate Arsenal were to sign Mudryk before Chelsea nabbed him !

I think both teams must have seen this clip
of him :)

I think he picked up a slight knock on international duty.

We're going to have to put them in their place whenever we get promoted to the Premier League Joey.:joker:
