So whilst i'm trying to count posts and answer questions and everything i've got something else that has happened tonight

Jarrod has left the game as he unfortunately does not have the time he thought he would have for the game. Thank you for playing Jarrod and I'm sorry to see you go.

This round will continue but I ask that Houseguests try and keep track of their posts because right now i'm trying to do 10 things at once and obviously that's quite difficult. Apologies for any inconvience.

It's simple to find out if you have a strike or not, just see if you have done your post within the time limit of the last ones.

Also, would it be easier and simpler for you all if you just did it every exact time? - Like you post at 11:02, you post again at 12:02 exactly
I'm just wondering bc right now it seems quite over complicated for everyone

I still dunno what's going on

and last time I played like that my wifi cut out and I lost for my team :joker:

T* 23-06-2017 10:42 PM

I think I'm going to simplify the comp because in my honest opinion I don't think the 'post within' style is working very well and it seems to be over complicated not just for you lot but for me too, and it'll make it easier for you all to count strikes...
I'll keep you updated, just play as you are doing for now

How so? It would make it simpler for you all as it would make you stick with a time throughout the competition therefore being more memorable to you rather than like alternating every hour

JerseyWins 23-06-2017 10:52 PM

The way I'm going is posting, remembering the time for an hour later and then doing whatever. Then I post again whenever it comes to mind and I feel like it's close enough to the next time mark.

On the other hand, I might forget to post EXACTLY an hour later. :worry: Or like if I remember 10 minutes before then I'll force myself to stare at the time for 10 mins so I don't forget. :joker:

JerseyWins 23-06-2017 10:54 PM

If you think the rules should be changed I'm fine with it though but this way is a lot easier IMO.

Edit: Another way to explain it is this way I have 60 minutes to post whenever I want but if you have to post exactly an hour later then that's basically a 60 second time frame you have to post at.

SuperV 23-06-2017 11:02 PM

So now that the intervals changed my last one was at 11:29 so my next one is 12:29?

Thank you, I've been struggling all night thinking about how it's done and how it s looked upon from the players point of view and everything and I feel really ****ing dumb :joker: I've been betrayed by my own comp creation :worry:
The reason I think I might change it is because I see some people struggling with it and not knowing if they've got a strike or not and I think if it's was the other way it'd be easier to see, and also easier on me - with these intervals I have to record every single little minute change over 24 hours which is very frustrating when you're trying to see if people have done it in enough time, with this one it'll be easier for me to see exactly what's going on.
I just feel like tonight has been a mess for me and I'm not proud of it, I feel like I've been confusing and I'd rather have accurate results and a less complicated comp

The intervals haven't changed yet, I will be changing them shortly and describing when it'll happen

Jamie89 23-06-2017 11:11 PM

Oh ffs!! I missed my last one by 1 minute... can the rules be changed to allow that?

SuperV 23-06-2017 11:11 PM

That is fine Tom, this is your game :)

So am I doing my next interval at 1

But ok... I definitely think this type of comp would be a pain to count up. :joker: A way I would recommend counting it is putting each person's name in an excel spreadsheet. And then you could scroll through the thread and for each time someone makes a new "bubble bubble" post you put the time in a new cell to the right of their name. Not sure if that's how you're doing it (or if that even makes sense) but I think that would make this easier to keep track of lol.

T* 23-06-2017 11:21 PM

IMPORTANT - ALL COMP PLAYERS PLEASE READ

I'm going to change the intervals so you will have to post 'bubble bubble pop pop' every hour instead of posting it 'within 1 hour'

This means if you post 'bubble bubble pop pop' at say 12:15, you would post next at 01:15, then 02:15, 03:15 and so on. This makes it easier for you to tell if you've missed and gotten a strike, and easier for me to see the results..

Also can you post it like the following:
Bubble Bubble Pop Pop
This will help your posts stand out.

The time you posted (or will post) in the midnight hour (12AM) will be the time you follow at 1AM and every hour for the rest of the comp.

Does this make sense?

DrunkerThanMoses 23-06-2017 11:23 PM

Yes Thomas
