Thought I would post these in here. It was our trip to the cinema last Friday.

We didn't watch it in 3D, we just wanted the glasses.

Before seeing the film, all happy, excited etc

Harry Potter now stands alone as the highest-grossing film franchise of all time. The eight films have made $2.223 billion, surpassing Star Wars $2.218 billion.

Deathly Hallows - Part 2 pulled in $12.27 million Wednesday in the United States, making it the 13th highest-grossing non-opening Wednesday ever.

With $214.88 million, it is slotted third among the top-grossing six-day openings, trailing only The Dark Knight and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Through Tuesday's sales, the film has made $604.9 million worldwide.
Great to hear, should pass the billion mark in less than 2 weeks at this rate. Going to watch it again today, has good repeat value.

I don't want to contribute to any of the nausea inducing elimination threads so I'll just post it here :

Hahahaha Hufflepuffs are the thick ones hahahahaha.

Courage and trying your hardest and blah blah. Come on, Jo, they are House Special Needs.

Just seen it finally.

A very good film. Except for
Spoiler:

Ron and Hermione get drenched, snog, the intermission thing comes up and some weird hiccup noise plays and everyone starts laughing and then looking confused.
Alright not really a spoiler but still. :suspect:

The epilogue was actually very impressive. Everyone looked older except Hermione. Ginny the most

But she's still an annoying bitch.

When Mrs Weasley called Bellatrix a bitch though, I had goosebumps. She is so amazing

Went to see it for the third time last night, such a great film. Much better in 2D too, it's a dark film in general but 3D makes it horribly darker. The ending always makes me cry

Ninastar 23-07-2011 10:01 AM

seeing it again tomorrow. in 2D this time. cant wait

Callum 23-07-2011 11:44 AM

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is being shown today at 5.20 on ITV1. Can't wait to watch it again, I feel it's an underrated Potter film and book.

Marc 23-07-2011 11:45 AM

I've gotta say I completely agree with you. I loved the mystery of this book and thought the film was a good adaption but I think most people hate the first two films. Even though they're pretty much the same as the books.

Think I'll watch it when I get back from DH: Part 2 showing at 2pm.

Marc 23-07-2011 11:55 AM

I do like HP2 :D will be watching!

Boothy 23-07-2011 11:58 AM

I've seen HP2 about 100 times. I reckon it's the one that's on TV the most.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida is amazing. I love it there so much, I would live there, if I could. :D Seriously the detail that has gone into Hogsmeade and Hogwarts is astounding, I can't wait to go back there. All the rides are so epic too. I bet when they next expand the area, they will add a Gringotts ride like from Deathly Hallows, Part 2. I've thought it ever since the first trailer, they would be mad not to make a ride from it.

Tom4784 23-07-2011 03:58 PM

I liked CoS as a book and while the film's faithful to it I just think the columbus films have aged badly.

Doogle 23-07-2011 04:02 PM

HP2 is the one I've seen the most.

I need to watch 1, 3 and 7 Part 1 again.

Callum 23-07-2011 04:19 PM

CoS on in 1 minute :)

Marsh. 23-07-2011 08:42 PM

Just got back from watching DH: Part 2 again.

This time in 3D. TBH didn't really notice the difference. And there were certain scenes where the picture was blurry even with the glasses on. Was just a waste.

But the film itself was good. I think the ending was a little abrupt and simple details that help the plot come together were left out, and yet the film felt short. If they'd just padded it out with the extra detail and made it just a little longer. The scenes in the pensieve being one thing as a few people I've spoke to didn't quite understand the point of half of those.

And also Maggie Smith was quite the badass for a 76 year old and just noticed the scene that Hagrid carries Harry's body up to the castle and Ginny screams is the one and only time I've seen decent acting from Bonnie Wright.
