Yep, he's a bit of a mystery to me. But you can't argue about him being selected when he scores out of nothing half the time.
I remember watching them at Anfield last time and apart from his 4 goals he was absolutely terrible in that match. So funny. |
Yeah i wouldnt say terrible i just think he wasnt given the ball enough we hardly saw him. but then he was magic.
And where would west ham be this season without Carlton Cole. |
And what the hell you dont do that!
on your debut you dont push someones face... can see me not liking him. |
If you were Utd fan owuld youhave confidence in ben foster??
|
Not really no, but Ferguson rarely keeps playing a guy if he doesn't think he's up to it. I did feel they needed to buy a new keeper in the summer though but it looks like he has faith in this lad.
|
Yeah i think Kuzach is better.. foster is okay but the confiedence isnt there.

Released Notts County defender Sol Campbell has four clubs chasing his signature. The Daily Mail says Aston Villa, Wolves, Hull and Newcastle are monitoring Campbell's situation after the Premier League said they would look into his appeal to allow him to join a team before the January transfer window opens. Under Fifa rules, the 35-year-old is barred from signing for another club after walking out on Notts County. Campbell, who has received backing from PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor, will need to prove he had just cause for leaving County just 29 days into his five-year deal . Luke Young Also Close to 100% and will be back to play for Villa shortly after the international break. |
Portsmouth are set to be taken over again after Sulaiman Al-Fahim entered negotiations to sell his majority shareholding in the club to a consortium led by Saudi property tycoon Ali al-Faraj.
Al-Faraj is reported to have supplied the £5million bridging loan needed this week to pay the wages of club staff and looks set to buy out the majority of Al-Fahim's stake within a matter of days. Al-Fahim told The Observer: "I think by Monday or Tuesday (Al-Faraj) will be on the board. His consortium will be a major shareholder. And I will keep a minority." |
Following one of the best performances of his career, Cesc Fabregas once again confirmed his commitment to Arsenal.
The Spanish schemer was instrumental in the 6-2 victory over Blackburn yesterday, providing four assists, scoring once and he also hit the bar. Fabregas said after the match: "There's always speculation I don't like it here but I am committed to this club 100 per cent." The 22-year-old central midfielder added: "It's my seventh season here and it's hard to hear people say they think I'm not committed enough. It was a good time to show them I really love this club." Fabregas has now begun season 2009/2010 at a ferocious pace, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in nine games in the Premier League and Champions League. |
I honestly don't know why he'd be wanting to leave a club that suits his style so well. Couldn't really see him on another side because Arsenal's formation is really catered towards him. He wouldn't be as effective on another team.

ABOVE: Searching for massive new investment 4th October 2009 By Harry PrattYour Shout ( 0 )
ASTON VILLA supremo Randy Lerner is searching for massive new investment – so his club can compete with loaded Manchester City. The American tycoon, at the Villa helm since August 2006, has just held talks with several billionaire businessmen from the Far East about possible cash injections. It is the clearest sign yet that Lerner, 47, who also owns NFL outfi t Cleveland Browns, accepts his money alone is no longer enough to take Villa to the top of the English game. Villa face Man City tomorrow night in what should be a cracking clash. But off the pitch, Martin O’Neill’s men are struggling to keep pace with the country’s richest outfit. When he bought Aston Villa for £64.5million, Lerner (right) was, with the exception of Chelsea’s billionaire boss Roman Abramovich and the Glazer family at Man United, the wealthiest football chief in the top fi ght. But the financial goalposts in the Premier League have moved since then amid the recession and the arrival of City’s wealthy Arab owners. Compared with the £1trillion fortune of the Abu Dhabi United Group, Lerner’s personal wealth of around £750m appears to be small change. He no longer even makes the English game’s top-ten rich list. And that is a fact which was highlighted during the last transfer window when Villa, who had splashed more than £100m over the previous two summers, spent a mere £25m. In contrast, City blew close to £200m – including £12m to secure Villa’s infl uential England star Gareth Barry. Though Villa did manage to keep winger Ashley Young, Lerner reckons that may not be the case next time. That’s why he has decided to act now and enlist the fi nancial clout of other major powerbrokers around the globe to counter City’s rapid rise up the ladder. And fi rst step on Lerner’s agenda is to transform Villa Park into a state-of-the-art 55,000 all-seater stadium. Villa withdrew their ground from the list of venues for the 2012 Olympics last Tuesday, citing ‘substantial’ redevelopment between now and then as the reason. ★MARTIN O’NEILL is convinced City’s financial power makes them the most likely club to crack the big four. He said: “It’s amazing to think City’s wealth surpasses Chelsea. “Well done to them – and I mean that. “They are a genuine threat to the big four. “I said it at the start of the season and everything since then has confirmed my view.” |

Ohh why is he playing?
Premier League big boys Arsenal, Liverpool,Man City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham were all strongly linked with Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar in the summer prior to him joining AC Milan. At the time the Serie A club seemed to have got a bargain at just €15 million. However, after a poor start to his Milan career it would seem that the English clubs may missed out on a potential flop. Huntelaar has now played 6 times in Serie A and once in the Champions League without scoring despite starting four of those games. AC coach Leonardo is under intense pressure after a miserable start to his tenure as the club sit 12th in Serie A after winning just two of their seven games. The Rossoneri were also humbled by rivals Inter 4-0 in the Milan derby which has increased the pressure tenfold. Unfortunately main summer signing Huntelaar has failed to impress while first choice target Luis Fabiano has 4 goals to his name already in Spain. |
Teenage starlet Ignasi Miquel signs professional terms with Arsenal
Arsenal have announced that defender Ignasi Miquel has signed professional terms with the club. The 17-year-old, who can play on the left or though the middle, has played for Arsenal's Under 18 side and twice for the reserves. He joined from Union Deportiva Cornella for a fee believed to be around £1m, depending on appearances. He previously spent five years with Catalan giants Barcelona. Arsenal reportedly beat off competition from Manchester United and Villareal to sign the teenager. Manager Arsene Wenger has always put his faith in youth, and it may be that Miquel gets his chance in the first team this season. |
