:omgno: I did it.

I've had Farcry 4 for a long time and only just playing it now, like years later. :skull:

I'm now playing God of War but have just spent about an hour throwing the axe around the very first forest and then recalling it pretending to be Thor. :umm2:

I've beaten Red Dead Redemption 2.

Chapters 3-6 are when the game comes alive imo, I also did like chapter 1, chapter 2 has a good story, but the game does make itself very overwhelming at first with all of the gameplay features. And the Epilogues are very ropy imo, from John and Abigail scenes, to a level where John has to propose to Abigail (excuse the spoiler) to John and Jack segments, and of course the boring farming levels, if I wanted to play a Farming game then I'll play one that's actually a Farming game and is actually good at it. Thank god for Sadie, Uncle, and Charles during the Epilogue.

But if you can get to chapter 3 of the game then you really start to get a great lead in Arthur, brilliant characters in general, and a great world that feels so vibrant and alive, and some great main and side missions.

I will try to buy Red Dead Redemption 1 soon, but I am dreading a full game led by John Marston.

Oh and Red Dead Redemption 2 has a great lifespan, you could be playing it for months there's that much to do in the game.

I agree with all of that Mock; RDR2 was only "OK" for me up until chapter 3, and then Chapter 3 right up until the finale was really exceptional. Though looking back, I guess the "slower" first chapters are important to the impact of the second half of the game. You just don't know that at the time.

Agree on the epilogue chapters, too; the farming and building is tedious. The Sadie missions are great though and the final part of the epilogue back up in the snow in the mountains was a good mission and gave nice symmetry with the opening of chapter 1.

Shadow of the tomb raid her :flutter:

user104658 20-05-2019 01:24 PM

Kratos pushing around bridges the size of football stadiums and ... throwing small hills at people and stuff, and his son who "doesn't know he's a god" - yet is smart enough to effortlessly learn a tonne of languages - is just like "wow dad ur rly strong"

...

Yeah if I was to ever replay the first two chapters I'd probably enjoy them a lot more after knowing how the story goes during chapter 3-6.

And I agree with you that the Sadie missions and the last mission were strong for the epilogue, and like you I did like the symmetry between the last mission and chapter 1.

I played this game for what felt like FOREVER and didn't finish it... I got to the bit where

Spoiler:

Tally gets ghost powers after Celly dumps him for a girl

And I thought that was going to be the end of the game but then it kept going and I wasn't sure it has an end, then I started playing something else instead.

Is Kingdom Hearts story so far worth getting?

Ant. 12-06-2019 09:45 PM

Seeing Banjo and Kazooie in Smash has made me want to replay Banjo Kazooie so that's definitely next on the block!

I only played the first one and the story was super confusing so i’m not even attempting to understand the story in 3 because it’s even more complex but i’m really enjoying the characters and the gameplay is amazing :flutter:
