Delighted for it. I hope it stays consistent. I thought it was brilliant last night. Is that with +1?

Yep it is. However now I am hearing it was 1.55m excl +1 as they said on DS so with the 90k on +1 that would make it 1.64m instead of 1.61m?? Not sure yet.

daniel-lewis-1985 15-07-2014 10:36 AM

Brilliant rating and well deserved. I know that guy who entered worked on a few things as an extra with him, im a bit jealous hes there not gonna lie lol.

Ive only just watched the episode as last night my toilet had an Armageddon, pipes burst and filled floors below with **** then someone who I don't like from another flat had to sleep on my sofa! Its like The Ring its coming into my home through the tv.

Brilliant rating and brilliant share and quite possibly our first 2 million come officials time.

On another note though I don't think you can add shares onto it using +1 that's cheating lol so the real share was 9.3%

Samm 15-07-2014 10:40 AM

That's Brilliant over 1.5 nearly as high as the 2nd launch hope the good ratings continue this week

I can't believe the first episode of Utopia got destroyed, I don't watch it but I saw loads of promo for it

Fantastic as it was the highest since launch. Brilliant share too. If anyone has the breakdown, wondering if it stayed equal or dropped throughout

Also incredible for BOTS pretty much, especially share wise.

Big Brother’s Bit on the Side 0.74m (8.5%)

556k for Utopia. Ouch.

I hope the audience stay!!

Rob! 15-07-2014 11:57 AM

Where did it come in it's slot?

Jake. 15-07-2014 12:06 PM

Wow! That is brilliant! The share is fantastic, done really well given the slot

*mazedsalv** 15-07-2014 12:20 PM

Apparently it came 2nd in its slot  just behind BBC1 news, according to Tellymix!! Bloody hell.

Jake. 15-07-2014 12:22 PM

In fact, the show was the second most watched of all in the 10PM slot, beaten only by the News at Ten on BBC One.

And Big Brother was Channel 5′s most watched show of the day with Benefits Britain: Life On The Dole dropping a million viewers week-on-week to 1.56 million.

Kai Anders 15-07-2014 01:11 PM

That is AMAZING!

Great ratings, great shares too! BB's normal share tends to stand at 8%.. particularly last year's series, while CBB often hits 10%.. the fact that it got 9.9% is very good.

I'm so happy it DESTROYED Utopia!

750K people heard my name read out on BOTS at the end of the show too! Good to know! :hehe:

Rob! 15-07-2014 01:11 PM

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Rob! 15-07-2014 01:20 PM

So would that be Channel 4 coming last in it's slot? :hehe:

LukeB 15-07-2014 01:32 PM

great ratings tbf! now we will know if football really did affect big brother

Jarrod 15-07-2014 01:33 PM

That's such a brilliant bounce back rating :amazed:

Iceman 15-07-2014 01:34 PM

Thats a positive start. Hopefully it continues

I knew it was you! As soon as they said 'Kai', I immediately assumed if it was you. :hehe:

*mazedsalv** 15-07-2014 03:04 PM

As for it remaining like this, I doubt it. People seem to be extremely annoyed that Sasha didn't go in to mess with Kim and Steven and dislike the second non public vote. 1.3-1.4m tonight (which would still be 200k-300k higher than last week).

daniel-lewis-1985 15-07-2014 03:14 PM

Tonight will probably go back down to 1.2 imo last night was like an eviction and those dumbasses who don't watch the highlights on Saturdays because they think its just a repeat of the eviction may be under that impression for tonight.

Not very clever these BB viewers.

Probably the "Armageddon Day 2" will make them tune in still. I hope you're wrong because I don't want this to happen!

Cal. 15-07-2014 03:24 PM

Great rating, hope it continues!

Clearly people liked what they saw to stick around for BOTS, hopefully the good ratings continue...

*mazedsalv** 16-07-2014 09:54 AM

1.20m excl +1 for BB. Oh dear, that is poor. Probably close to 1.3m with it, but still.

So, I think people hated the twist then, as I expected.

mrmattybeck1 16-07-2014 09:56 AM

Dreadful rating no excuses for that

Maybe the producers know that this second non public vote was a bad idea now.

It is not letting us vote is a bad move

Only thing is that the share looks high for a rating that low.

Rob! 16-07-2014 10:00 AM

Meh. Exactly what was expected. Some of that will have been the "wahhhh after eviction shows are just a repeat wahhh" but I'm not surprised. It beat Utopia though right?

Yeah still good for five but I'm sure they would have liked it a bit higher

*mazedsalv** 16-07-2014 10:01 AM

Utopia dropped to 417k excl +1.

What was the share for BB?

Jamesy 16-07-2014 10:05 AM

I was expecting 1.2m so no shock for me.

Probably a mixture of people not liking the new housemates (although that's their own faults for believing Chinese whispers), not pleased with newbies choosing who goes/no real public vote (fair enough) and others thinking the usual show the night after is just a repeat (which for some reason people still think after 15 series).

I think tonight will be more telling if people are interested or not. I guess in the worst case we'll just have to hope figures stay steady from now on.

*mazedsalv** 16-07-2014 10:06 AM

Share for the 1.20m was 7.6%. With +1, it would be 8%+ and a rating of around 1.26m I expect.

Jake. 16-07-2014 10:08 AM

Meh.. still, a good share and it did okay for 10PM

JohnnyBB 16-07-2014 10:08 AM

They had once chance on monday to draw in new veiwers or them that had left during the world cup so it looks like none left during the world cup its just a housemate issue.

Samm 16-07-2014 10:15 AM

Meh, it could get better if they have it on at 9 don't see why they don't do that

*mazedsalv** 16-07-2014 10:54 AM

Apparently according to https://sites.google.com/site/tvrati...olby-city-rise

BB- 1.29m
Utopia- 499k

Samm 16-07-2014 10:55 AM

That's a bit better then

Rob! 16-07-2014 10:57 AM

So 1.3 effectively then altogether. It's not that bad - tbh as long as it continues to completely decimate C4 then I'm happy :D

*mazedsalv** 16-07-2014 10:59 AM

Yep, the highest Tues was the first Tues with 1.30m, so it was 10k off that.

:clap1::clap1:

I also think its similar with the saturday shows.. people are likely to assume it'll all be about the previous day, as they imagine saturday shows are for friday night evictions..

It's on par with what I expected. The fact that it's up against Utopia, and did 800K better is something to be appreciative of! At least there was a slandering of its closest rival!
