Good :amazed: By the way have they changed the girls age? I'm sure she was a year younger than Seth ad Jasmin

Do you mean Sinead? I think the character is supposed to be 15, same age as Jas & Seth.

bbfan1991 05-01-2011 10:33 PM

Anyone noticed there is more older characters now, the mix is much better even if Hollyoaks is a teen soap aimed at the 17-35 demographic:).

I think the show is getting more positive coverage now and people are taking notice, last year was just about spreading words about the revamp. Their could be room for even more improvement and people are still going to be critical about certain things..

I mean poor India being made to have a **** in a car under Lucy Allan's dire era to being murdered when Paul Marquess took over:laugh2:.

InOne 05-01-2011 10:38 PM

Yep, they need to stop random axing people though and get a proper young ones gang together, one that they plan to keep, so they can grow with the soap and that

Ahhh yeah, it's Finn that's the younger one

It all seems rather bizarre, especially when you think how much they invested in the build up to this story.

Last I remember was Nancy writing her piece and trying to go over India's footsteps of that night.

This is odd for Hollyoaks, they usually do so well with character exits.

I won't mention the Sharpes.....

InOne 05-01-2011 10:54 PM

Ahhh forgot about Nancy doing that, she has not been in since then though has she?

The O'Connor family were quite quiet in terms of storylines after their debut - was there any reason why they had to take a back seat?
"With Hollyoaks, it's normally just the schedule! It's pretty dull! Because we shoot single camera, it takes us about three times as long to shoot as the other soaps. Due to that, I've had to learn how to tell stories on Hollyoaks - it's been quite a learning curve. We do five episodes per week on single camera, and all of our sets are built as real, so there's all sorts of noise issues. It's like three-dimensional chess, storylining Hollyoaks - so if you don't see somebody for a while, that's usually why and it usually means they're about to become really busy!"

A reason why characters sometimes disappear even when their main storyline is the main focus of the show that week, it is frustrating.

Ahhh, so that is why it seems all over the place D: Didn't used to be like that did it? I mean people lose interest in major storylines and I even forget some

'Conor 05-01-2011 11:09 PM

yeah ive noticed that since the beginning,

like for instance lets say for example: Tony, Amy, Darren, Nancy, Tom, Gilly, Mandy, Warren were in major storylines for a while, and characters like Carl, Heidi, Anita, Rob, Eva, Diane, Sinead hadlnt been on screen in ages. Then it normally swaps over and Tony, Amy... will be off screen for a while

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 05-01-2011 11:09 PM

tonights e4 ep

Spoiler:

why has seth turned on jas/jason  he was defending heshe against bart then at the end of tonights e4 ep he wrote something like 'dont think i have the same DNA as it' D:

think hes just jealous coz carl took heshe out to play football

They need to do a bit more mixing of old and new or the new lot will never develop

yeah true, especially The O'Connors, i think the Costellos have blended in well with them like mixing in with Jack/Warren/Mercedes

Yes jealousy about Carl giving lots of attention to Jason;). What I don't get about Seth is that he is inconsistent:conf:, one minute he's supportive of her and the next he's turning on her.

InOne 05-01-2011 11:15 PM

Probably meant to show he's finding it hard to come to terms with it kinda thing

InOne 05-01-2011 11:16 PM

Tbh the whole Jason/Jasmin thing is annoying me now, that actress always pulls that stupid sullen face in even scene

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 05-01-2011 11:17 PM

she looked so much better as a girl :L

I'm still enjoying this story, in fact I'm finding some of it fascinating, I don't think I've ever seen a story like this on TV or the big screen.

That said I have noticed the face the actress pulls she's been doing it since she arrived and I always thought it was the actresses way of trying to look like a dude. Not that all dudes pull sullen faces! lol

bbfan1991 05-01-2011 11:41 PM

In the E4 episode when
Spoiler:

Rob was giving a talk to the students about what Jasmine/Jason is going through it gave a Grange Hill/Waterloo Road vibe
:D.

I'm excited about more Mitzeee airtime!.

Marsh. 05-01-2011 11:46 PM

Yeah, the way she moves her mouth is very unusual. So she's either got awkward mannerisms or she's a very good actress. Is she like that in real life does anyone know?

And that episode where Rob makes Sinead join Jas and Seth's table in the class brought back memories of me being the one that had to move away from friends and join the 'only two left' table. lol

'Conor 05-01-2011 11:55 PM

Cant wait for Cindy to return as she is
Spoiler:

gonna be a bitch again and by "Look Sharpe" from Tony

:D

Not sure although in pictures i've seen of Victoria Atkin outside of the show she looks more girlier, which isn't hard considering the character she's playing at the moment:D.

Yeah Conor it's typical her LOL although I think it's India's death that will bring her back although no mention of Alistair?.
