I'm waiting for the PS3 version where hopefully the game will be in a much better state than the sorry mess it was released as.
|
I despise MMO's, especially when there's a monthly fee.
|
I tried replaying X again. Tidus is too much of a **** for me to wish to continue.
|
I liked Tidus, Vaan from XII however...
|
tbh I hate most of the main characters in FF. Cecil and Terra are easily my favourites.
|
Yeah the main characters are usually never the star of the show. Zidane was boring. Squall was rubbish compared to Laguna, Cloud's a miserable git. Tidus is just pure and utter hate for me.
|
I loved Terra, it always annoyed me how she used to leave the team for large amounts of time though. They really need to give FFVI more love, I'm guessing we'll see an FFV & VI remake before long on the 3DS which I'd love as long as it's more in the vein of the IV remake rather then that hateable III.
I always liked Zidane and Tidus, they weren't the best characters of their respective games but they weren't the worst. |
I liked Tidus :D
I bought a PSP and got Dissidia 012 with it |

I'm not sure have I talked about the genius of Spoony before but he has just started a review/teardown of Final Fantasy X-2. It's fantastic. He might hate Tidus more than I do.
http://spoonyexperiment.com/category...l-fantasy-x-2/ Give it a watch. |
His character might not have been the best but the majority of his dialogue in FFX was amazing
|
He looks like Meg Ryan.
|
Just found out this ad will be in Deus Ex Human Revolution

Apparently there is a bit of time travel involved in XIII-2, sounds like it could work well if done right

Another Perfect 40: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Gets Famitsu Thumbs Up You know that thing I wrote a while back about Famitsu's handing out 40 out of 40 games scores being rare? Yeah, maybe not so accurate—at least not at the rate the 40s have been coming lately. The closely watched Japanese games magazine gave Final Fantasy XIII a 39 out of 40 back in 2009, but it's apparently scored the sequel—launching on December 15 in Japan and January 31 stateside—a perfect 40 out of 40. That means each of the magazines four reviewers gave the game a perfect 10 out of 10. That makes it the third game this year Famitsu's awarded a perfect score. The prior two were The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. According to Japanese gaming news-watcher Andriasang, the reviewers say the game remedies what was problematic in the original (presumably complaints about the game being over-linear, or that it lacked intermediary points to break from the action, e.g. towns) and that "there's a lot of gameplay to be found." Final Fantasy XIII-2 adds a time travel mechanic where your choices can alter the actual game world, a tweaked version of FFXIII's realtime battle system, the ability to tame monsters, a "Mog Clock" mini-game that determines how battles begin, and dialogue options that shift each time the game's played. List of games that have got 40/40 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998, Nintendo, for Nintendo 64) Soulcalibur (1999, Namco, for Dreamcast) Vagrant Story (2000, Square Co., for PlayStation) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003, Nintendo, for Nintendo GameCube) Nintendogs (2005, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS) Final Fantasy XII (2006, Square Enix, for PlayStation 2) Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, Nintendo, for Wii) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (2008, Konami, for PlayStation 3) 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de (2008, Sega, for Wii) Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (2009, Square Enix, for Nintendo DS) Monster Hunter Tri (2009, Capcom, for Wii) Bayonetta (2009, Sega, for Xbox 360) New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009, Nintendo, for Wii) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (2010, Konami, for PlayStation Portable) Pokémon Black and White (2010, Nintendo, for Nintendo DS) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (2011, Nintendo, for Wii) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011, Bethesda Softworks, for Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3) - the first non-Japanese game to receive a perfect score. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (2011, Square Enix, for Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3) |
I like the look of XIII-2
And to be honest, for a long time I was angry at XIII for being something it wasnt supposed to be...but listening to this...I realise I do love the game |
