Marsh. 07-01-2017 09:02 AM

:laugh2:

Cal. 07-01-2017 10:17 AM

I can't STAND SOC or that bloody Michelle

Wizard. 07-01-2017 10:21 AM

Liz McDonald being Kats mum more iconic than anything sock can come up with?

Cal. 07-01-2017 10:22 AM

Tea.

Firewire 07-01-2017 12:04 PM

Who else do you see leaving under SOC?

I can't see Whitney sticking around without Lee... she has no one and the Carters will kick her out (like they did with Cora)

I think it's obvious Jack is leaving too

Firewire 07-01-2017 12:04 PM

In saying that, if he axes Whitney I'm going to make sure he never works again

Ashley. 07-01-2017 12:07 PM

If Jack's leaving because of Ronnie, then that pattern should generally follow through with Whitney as well

Cal. 07-01-2017 12:40 PM

Spoiler:

The coroner report apparently reveals Roxy drowned due to a mixture of cocaine and alcohol in her system. Jack gets angry that Ronnie died trying to save Roxy when it was her fault for taking the drugs and then finds out that Glenda knew Roxy was taking cocaine and they have massive row next week.

Marsh. 07-01-2017 01:22 PM

If he's axing Jack too I will never understand why he wasn't killed to facilitate the sisters leaving. Killing them was a waste and the more of this non existent story that unfolds the more it becomes apparent.

Shirley doesn't give a crap and we've barely seen Phil.

I'm so glad they axed R&R so they could execute this groundbreaking storyline.

Rob! 07-01-2017 01:30 PM

In what universe could that ever be Glenda's fault??!

Denver 07-01-2017 01:32 PM

She should have sent her daughter to rehab

Denver 07-01-2017 01:32 PM

Glenda murdered her daughters

Something along the lines of if Glenda controlled Roxy's cocaine habit then Roxy wouldn't have drowned and Ronnie wouldn't have needed to save her and drowned as well.

Marsh. 07-01-2017 01:46 PM

Tbf didn't Glenda literally show up the night before the wedding?

It was obviously a mixture of SOC not caring about Ronnie and Roxy, disliking the era they represented, wanting it to hit headlines and shock, wanting it to be tragic that two sisters died together with one trying to save the other and wanting to put his stamp on the show.

There was perfectly other good ways they could have left whilst keeping in tone with the 'sisters forever' thing that SOC has seemed to suggest. Jack could have died as you say and Roxy could have gotten herself and Ronnie's acts together, took the reigns and taken them all away from Walford. Jack could have cheated and they could have somehow fleeced him out of everything he had and left him with nothing on the Square whilst they drove off for a better life. Those are two exit story lines I've thought of in 30 seconds. But no, let's have them both die like in the Final Destination films because they weren't created before 2000.

Jack's death leaving Ronnie broken and Roxy finally stepping up to the plate and taking control and helping Ronnie pick herself up and leaving together with their two kids. :clap1: I love it.

Leaving Ricky with Sharon and Phil of course, they're not being lumbered with Sam's brat. :nono:

Cal. 07-01-2017 10:13 PM

I just can't get my head around the thought process of 'We're getting rid of Ronnie, Roxy and Jack so we'll have Ronnie and Roxy die so Jack can leave Walford for a happy ending'. But, as Adam would say, they're dead and I should get over it.

Marsh. 07-01-2017 10:19 PM

Ignore Adam. I'll axe him from this ****ing thread if he carries on!
