Not saying you are, but there are those who just don't care what happens in the world as long as they don't want to come here. It's called 'island mentality' fear of invasion. The media and governments play on this to keep out those deemed 'undesirable.

Strangely the tactics used are similar to the ones you quoted, that we are too full, poor or under resourced. That's quite the coincidence don't you think?

Bankers got a £billion tax cut a couple of weeks ago whilst NI is going up. The money is there, but the government deciding to let the people they're aligned with have it, rather than it benefitting everyone, is the only choice that is being made here.
