I’d only be up for it if Sarah Phelps came back to write for her.

2. The climbing instructer needs to become a regular, he’s a full on dish

It sounded like those foreign adverts where they dub over the voices :joker:

reece(: 05-04-2019 01:11 AM

She's either doing that or trying to keep her ovaries from grabbing hold of Keanu. :joker:

When did she forget how to act? The cliche eye rolls and glances are cringe

BBUK-Fan 05-04-2019 08:12 PM

It’s a joke, why is the show glossing over the fact Ruby sexually assaulted Blake and also tried to cut a man’s genitalia off? Yet, the audience are meant to root for her wtf

RileyH 05-04-2019 08:13 PM

First of all she didn't sexually assault him, secondly they didn't gloss over it and thirdly he retracted his statement after he realised that although their relationship was inappropriate considering her position at work, he was happy that her intention wasn't what he felt it was. So he accepted her apology.

I thought it was a good symmetry with Ross and Matt who knew exactly what they'd done but refused to admit to it. Oh, and the fact they actually raped her.

The show was excellent this week.

I thought the Tiff rape story was in poor taste (I hate that most female characters are victims of sexual abuse) but the juxtaposition of Tiffany and Ruby tonight was excellent.

Denver 05-04-2019 09:45 PM

I hope they explore the rape more rather then just forget it now she has justice

Yeah i agree, I don't know why it's mostly women who gets raped on soaps when it happens to Men as well..the only male rape victim i can remember was John Paul on Hollyoaks.

Same with cancer storylines it should be given to men too.

Marsh. 05-04-2019 11:01 PM

I don't think the problem is that it's only women depicted in rape stories as the victim, for EE it's definitely more that EVERY female character either has rape as part of their backstory or as one of their major storylines during their time on the show.

I mean, I know generally that soaps are repetitive so most characters take part in affairs, and all sleep with the same people because they're relatively small casts. But with rape, just seems kind of tasteless to use it as a cheap and lazy way of adding depth or sympathy to a female character.

Did Tiff's story need it? No, I don't think so.

What the **** is going on with Lola and Ben
