BBC first,

I know he's an okay kind of guy but honestly he tires me out listening to him.

He's talking sense mostly but his delivery is like a train clunking down the track not charging down the track.
I think however the audience was more impressed.

arista 22-11-2022 09:38 AM

Yes Joey
they did clap loud

Unlike Yesterday with PM Sunak.

the CBI want cheap immigrant labour, their agenda is clear. We need to make sure that job roles always get an appropriate good wage for the role and that competition for jobs remains buoyant

Yes Good Point

want "cheap" immigration

arista 22-11-2022 10:22 AM

850 in the House Of Lords

Starmer wants them Gone

Could be a vote Winner?

[Nigel Farage has welcomed Keir Starmer’s comments
on immigration, claiming that Labour is now
“to the right” of the Tories.

The Brexiteer said the Labour leader was
repeating promises from UKIP’s 2015 manifesto
with his migration stance as well as his pledge
to abolish the House of Lords.
Farage posted a video in response to Starmer’s speech
to the CBI conference, in which
he urged UK businesses to wean themselves
off “immigration dependency”,
warning that “low pay and cheap labour” had to end.
Starmer’s comments came a day after Rishi Sunak
also addressed the business group.

Former UKIP leader Farage said:
“So during Jeremy Hunt’s budget and since,
and yesterday at CBI conference,
the Tories have made clear they’re going
to continue with large scale mass
legal immigration.
“And oh boy! Their paymasters in the big political parties,
the big global companies are delighted.
“Today, Keir Starmer says we must stop the reliance
on cheap foreign labour, start training our own people.
“What with that, and saying the House of Lords
must be removed in its current shape,
Starmer is now repeating the UKIP 2015 manifesto.]

Yesterday in the CBI conference

Sunak didn't cancel anything as he was in favour of it, but the ERG threatened him and he backed down like a meek little puppy. Lets at least get the basics right.

Starmer has shifted way, way to the right. For some this may come as such a surprise, that they will now need to pretend it's part of a masterplan, but the truth is obvious - starmer will do or say anything to get into power, and just like Johnson, these are the very last people that should be anywhere near power

to suggest that labour is further right than the tories is a bit of a stretch

I do agree though that the current crop of politicians will do and say anything to grab power

He is in favour of Legal Workers
entering the UK on Contract.

That is not changing the EU deal

Those imported workers are needed.

do the tories really think that fighting to keep elitist private schools during a cost of living crisis is a vote winner? It shows how out of touch they are

The anti-democratic labour party strikes again.

There's a reason tory mp's feel safe and at home under Starmer.

"The anti-democratic labour party strikes again."

But they want to take over, at the next General Election.
Strict control from now on
is logical from Starmer
