Why did she actually give Alicia her child? -confused-

Alicia can't have children naturally:(.

I think their mother also had a part in forcing Leyla to give up the baby to Alesha. Some shame thing. Alesha's husband is the biological father afterall

God Aaron is really peeing me off now.

He got found not guilty.........grow up lol.

Kerry 11-08-2011 01:16 AM

I'm guessing a Laurel/Marlon affair

Total guess but they keep teaming them up. That or another Marlon infatuation

Kerry 11-08-2011 08:21 PM

She was alright when she first joined the show but when she returned earlier this year, I didn't know a single person who liked her.

Yeah the filming was different. Only thing I didn't like was how Chas was all dazed and could barely walk then the next ripping Cain and Aaron apart :joker:

Had an awful feeling this was what the Sarah storyline was :(

Spoiler:

Andy and Debbie face a heartbreaking race against time when Sarah needs a bone marrow transplant. (i.e leukemia - cancer of the bone)

Apparently Andy and Debbie may decide to have another child to save her

Kerry 23-08-2011 12:38 AM

Glad Mia now knows what a bitch her mother is

Kerry 08-09-2011 11:25 PM

Interesting yet very good and believable storyline with Aaron self harming

This Bonnie and Clyde crap - Dear Lord

Kerry 27-10-2011 04:05 AM

Creature of habit that I am, I'm still watching this. But Marlon and Laurel are making me want to sit and pull my teeth out for more entertainment. It's cringey

It's a while since there's been a post in this thread....

"Emmerdale's elder abuse storyline comes to a head next week as Laurel Thomas witnesses husband Ashley lashing out at his frail father Sandy.

Upcoming episodes see Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) finally realise that all is not right between the pair, which leaves Ashley agitated as he wonders where his wife's concerns have come from.

As Ashley (John Middleton) quizzes Sandy (Freddie Jones) about whether he's told Laurel anything, the village vicar becomes increasingly threatening towards his dad - before finally snapping and hitting him.

However, a shocked Laurel is standing in the doorway, having seen everything.

Laurel subsequently demands answers from Ashley and a furious showdown leaves their marriage in tatters.

Meanwhile, a tormented Sandy stays at Edna's (Shirley Stelfox) for the night - and she's shocked to learn of Ashley's abuse.

The next day, Sandy and Laurel both return home to face Ashley, who desperately apologises for his behaviour.

However, as Laurel makes it clear that she has only returned home for Sandy's sake, Ashley fears that he's lost her forever. Is there any future for their marriage? And can Sandy ever forgive Ashley?

The storyline has been upsetting to watch, although it is about an issue that sadly goes on in the real world. I feel sorry for Sandy and Ashley is getting more nastier, glad he gets found out soon.

Laurel is driving me mad by not spotting anything, this is realistic as has happened in real life cases of elderly abuse.

Ashley's character has been ruined by this storyline as he was not like this before and if they aim to redeem the character after the damage might already be too much to repair.. Andy is still not forgiven for his treatment of Jo by some viewers!

waterhog 13-04-2012 09:59 PM

bbfan - i think that to - they have totally ruined ashley - i do hope they can correct his bad ways but i have a feeling he has gone to far now.
