I don't think it is. I think it is going to Marcus' Graveyard Shift paraphernalia fund.

I have no idea which idiot is paying good money for this. I would retract my bid. That thing is probably worth about 2 pounds if that.

Mrluvaluva 08-09-2009 12:50 PM

It's gone down to £1,000.00? :conf:

Probably somebody retracted their bid?

Who is foolish enough to pay 1000 pounds for it?

Bloody hell! I thought Fans of housemates were obsessive but this obsessive?????

ShelleySkruFayce 08-09-2009 01:34 PM

and now Bex and Luke from last year are trying to sell off all their stuff, but they will soon realize they are old news

Yeah ive just read on Twitter that Luke wants to sell the green tie he wore during his election speech.

Shasown 08-09-2009 01:41 PM

Marcus has already given some memorabilia away to a lad he knows who is suffering from cancer. Whether or not he gives the proceeds from the sale of this item is up to him.

Also he may have asked for the key when he was in the house for the BBLB show over the weekend on the grounds he spent the most time in there. If he did and he was given the key by BB staff then it is his property and he can do what he wants with it.

I am sure if BB wanted the key or the money he gets for it, they will ask for it back. For all anyone knows the BB staff may have told housemates at the end of the show to take any souvenirs they wanted so long as they could carry it out themselves. Accusations of theft are a bit OTT.

dixiebell1991 08-09-2009 01:46 PM

this is great, funnier then that actual show!
the abusive letter to the winner will probably follow with another in a few months: "Hey w*nker, im skint and mum needs a holiday; want to buy any more **** and stuff like that and things."

Yeah and I am sure that will bring out some chuckles (akin to ha ha, Marcus is so funny - he swears!) to lessen the blow of wasting over a thousand pounds on it.

nut 08-09-2009 02:45 PM

if i was marcus i would stick every thing i owned on ebay ****** me a toy key as only been up 1 day and its over a grand! just imaging how much he would make if he sold everything he owned!

Why should it?

Enid 08-09-2009 04:34 PM

Holy shít. £1,090.00.

Now he can get laid.

Or Marcus cancelled it. Bidders have to have at least 10 positive feedback so if they don't he will cancel their bid:wink:

incywincy 08-09-2009 04:42 PM

Back up to
£1,110.00

jgfrise 08-09-2009 04:46 PM

He is giving the proceeds to his friend who has cancer

MJBFAN 08-09-2009 05:37 PM

I think he can do what he likes with any of the items he has acquirred on or off the show.
If it is for charity then good for him and if it is for himself then where's the harm?

I'm not surprised the key is at £1,100. the last time I checked there are people out there that will buy certain items if they have the money.

Other housemates are making money off the show in different ways and if Marcus wants to do the same then it's okay with me.

I wouldn't buy it though. :)

People want to be a part of TV history, why?… owning an poorly-made oversized prop from a soon to be obscure reality show shouldn't really be a epoch defining moment in a persons life.[/rquote]

I can see that it is something quite fun to have, maybe a talking point for a few years, as for the price I suppose it depends how much you have. A few thousand for some is just pocket money in which case if they are into BB it is quite reasonable to think they would pay it, I personally wouldn't pay more than £20 or £30 for a novelty item as much more and I would be thinking 'I could have bought ... with that'.

Shasown 08-09-2009 06:14 PM

Maybe someone has a novelty lock on an oversized door they need a key for.

I did actually buy a large rusty looking novelty key to give my gate a 'secret garden' look, paid £2 for it though!!!

ricky2k9 09-09-2009 07:45 AM

£1,220.00 as it stands, has anyone here bidded for it? And are you the current winner :P
